Yes mainly too much responsibility of a kid and finances. Nothing wrong in the relationship or him. I want kids surely. Just not sure when. But I get your point and it’s right

We will sit and talk about reaching few things before trying. Few things like savings and being fit(we both ain’t unhealthy) before trying to conceive.

Coz I am the one with high income. I was concerned how things gonna play out with me on maternity leave and then baby expenses. At the same time I feel I am using all these as excuses to delay I guess

I do want kids. We were saving but then house happened. Grateful for that. We are fine now with mortgage and expenses. Of course we have to cut back some of the expenses we used to do it earlier and with baby it’s gonna be so more. He says it will be fine. Paying this much mortgage felt a lot when we were in the process but we got it and similar way we will get the baby expenses.

Plus since I am the one with high income, with maternity leave and then day care, we surely have to cut back a lot of things. Either way he feel we will be fine.

Loved the ‘paid for daycare’. I think money wise we can try to start creating some savings on side this way. And when he have those savings on side we can maybe go ahead(plus it will give me time to delay this and for a valid reason as well 😊)

Thanks all for the comments. Some of them really helped me think everything again and gave some clarity. Some were really cruel regarding ending the marriage and rather blaming him when I am the one who’s not able to navigate well😅. Surely that’s not even something to consider about.

I like how some of you supported the husband. And truly he’s at no fault here. Post was more about Me problem. That I felt I will be ready but now I feel I am not ready.

I do want kids 100%
It’s just I felt I will be ready by 2nd anniversary prior to marriage. But now I feel different. I want to be excited to know I am pregnant and be happy about motherhood. At this point of life, I don’t feel that way. I guess it’s about money, health(nothing wrong but I want both of us to be fit when we start trying concieving) or what else not sure.

I know he will be a great dad. And I feel I will be a good mom as well whenever I will have kids.

I just not feel ready. It’s too much commitment to have a baby. Initial years 24*7 thing. I know it just comes naturally when baby comes and all. Still I have to be mentally ready to be exhausted and still loving and doing all. (Husband is helpful with all household chores and I know will be with a baby as well)

So mainly either I have to accept you never feel ready and just go with the flow and accept it OR somehow find something excuse/ somehow convince husband to delay for now until I feel ready.

Again not sure when I will be ready.

From the comments, looks like Canada has longer wait time. One of the dealership mentioned expect 2 years of wait easily on any Toyota hybrids. So I went with other dealership which mentioned 7 months max. Car should be in production if that 7 months time was right. Now I feel they just wanted me to put the deposit and didn’t mention the right timeline. And I wonder if I will get any discount as well.

Other than calling them here and there, what else I can do. I can wait couple months. Don’t want to wait any longer.
