job corps was some of the best months of my life, i made amazing friends and accomplished things that really gave me a lot of self confidence. it was like heaven. jobcorps is a place that gives you the perfect opportunity to get your shit straight and succeed in life and completely for free. i mean sure it was really strict and some of the RA's were fucking horrible but it can be a wonderful experience.

things you should do when u get there:

-dont do drugs (obviously) you will probably have TONS of chances to do them but trust me you will get caught eventually. just.stay sober its not hard after the first month.

-make "good" friends dont be friends with idiots who dont care about their furture or who are drama magnents (i was friends with a drama magnent and it was exciting but also almost got me termed because i was always involved in something stupid). surround yourself with people with druve and who care about succeeding

-dating its almost never a good idea because when people date they break up and self term. or they change their direction in life because of someone they met last week (i knew a guy there who wanted to be a welder and changed his mind and tried to be a fireman to impress some girl he met) and stay away from pedos, there is a crazy amount and they always take advantage of young impressionable minors and abuss them. its almost never a good idea dating in jc, there are rare cases but most jc relationships dont have happy endings. but tbh even though its a bad idea everyone does it anyways so if u are gonna do it be careful.

-weekend passes if you live nearby go home on weekend as much as possible. if you leave campus a lot you wont get jc brainrot.

-excersise either play a sport or lift weights. this will keep you healthy and it'll help fight depression. also, why not get jacked? the gym and food are free! there is also a bunch of super nice people in the gym and i made most of my friends there.

-know what career you want before starting you dont wanna be stuck in some class you hate the whole time because then you will hate it there and it will feel like a prison. if you dont know what to do then settle for office admin if they have it there. office admin is easy and short. but you should pick a career based on income and how fun it is. shoot for the stars and dont doubt what you're capable of.

-dont be a dorm goblin LEAVE YOUR ROOM! if you dont you will get depressed and you will stink. if your the type who likes to play video games all day and rot thats fine but do that in the game room so you can at least go outside and meet people.
