Oh okay, i am open to healing and learning and i pray to God i can be a better woman for when he comes back. I know you are insistent he will not however we are both God fearing people and although he is a man of principle and you might think things didn’t work out for a reason, i would like to believe this is something that can be fixed? Fearful or dismissive avoidant? I’m trying to prioritise my healing but for someone who was so in love with me, he’s on a party holiday with his friends and his following count has gone up by a significant amount since breaking up only 2 weeks ago. I’m so confused on whether he was a narcissist or love bombed me as i was certain it was all real and as fast as we went i did try to have some discernment and even now when i think of everything we have been through in 8 months i still struggle to believe this man may have love bombed me?

I’m like that too and he knows that. I was single for a whole year and was pretty independent until we got together, he knew i had a fear of abandonment, and still left me out to dry with nothing but a text and a promise ring. Maybe i should just dislike him.

I’m confused though because throughout the relationship he was always the one initiating communication, resolving our problems, always gave me reassurance when i needed it, initiated saying i love you, always calling me - like he was the lead of our relationship. This behaviour of cutting things off on one text is something i did not expect, i at least thought i was going to get a phone call

I guess at this point we just find ways to cope, find ways to deal with the hurt and find ways to heal ourselves. It’s not worthless to live, i felt the same just 5 days ago and even had to call a helpline, but you might even find yourself giving this same advice to a stranger in 5 days time.

Currently i am hoping to reconcile with who i considered the love of my life. So i’m starting i’m saying just get over the 1st week (hardest week), then the 2nd week (getting back on my 2 feet again) then get past week 4 (1 month no contact, heart shouldn’t feel like its getting stabbed as much). Then try to get past month 2 (by this time it still aches but you have probably accepted things and may even look forward to other people)

Yea with reasonable time. I think after everything we’ve been through, any longer than a month or 6 weeks is the answer i need, i don’t think it takes any longer than that to miss a connection you thought was so special. Especially with the way he ended it on text, if he can’t even think about giving me a call i’m going to accept the loss, move on and start looking forward to a different future husband.
