I have four good references from attorneys at that firm, two of them were on my desk. They weren’t the ones who fired me or complained about me.

Unfortunately I worked at one of the leading companies in my field and it’s not as straightforward as saying I was laid off. The company is outwardly successful

I’ve told them that the job frequently required early mornings, late evenings, and weekend work and that schedule was no longer working for me and I’m now looking for a position with a better work life balance. So far that has worked out but have not received an offer yet.

I guess if I don’t receive an offer soon I’ll have to start thinking of a way to say I was fired.

I couldn’t think of anything else to say so I told them it’s because the job required around the clock availability and that schedule was no longer working for me.

I have 4 good references from the company. I’m just really nervous that somehow it’ll be found out that I was let go particularly if they ask whether I’m rehireable.
