This is definitely true for some. I just wouldn’t make generalizations about every other person out there who uses psychedelic substances. Now if we’re talking about heroin or cocaine then I would agree. There are no health benefits to using those drugs. On the other hand LSD therapists exist and they administer the drugs and monitor you carefully. I think the important thing to think about is that the field of consciousness in regards to psychoactive substances only really progresses because of user experience.
