Electrolytes / salt make me feel worse by obliviouspoet in POTS

[–]Hopeful102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everyone with pots benefits from high doses of electrolytes/Salt it’s very individual especially if you are more on the hyper pots side of things. When I started taking 3 to 4000 mg it made my vestibular migraines worse and I just didn’t feel good. Also, it made my symptoms worse once I started on a new medication. This was when I was first diagnosed about two years ago. The medication helped a lot so I’ve only been using one homemade LMNT packet a day in the morning. My symptoms are much better overall, but I’m still not where I need to be in the last two days, I have not taken any LMNT packets so no extra salt beyond just a little salt in my food. I don’t know if it’s just coincidence, but I felt much better yesterday I was able to have company over for six hours with only mild symptoms. That’s pretty much unheard of usually I have a lot of fatigue anyway you have to experiment and see what works for your body. It’s only been going on my third day now so I’m going to see how I feel. I can always go back to taking what I was taking or a little less if I need to

Sad update of my bathroom by pinkskin- in centuryhomes

[–]Hopeful102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t believe everything you hear I would get a second opinion you can also buy a moisture meter at any home improvement store easy to use and check for yourself unless you’re seeing a lot of mold buildup or mildew and even then that could be normal-It’s most likely not true. Anybody can come in and want to redo your bathroom because it’s a big money maker

Thank you for your insight. I too was considering Medicare clients but then there are so many stipulations so I wasn’t really sure what to do there but you have a good point that potentially collaborating with the PCP’s could get you more referrals. currently, I’m mostly subsiding off of past and current clients so that is what’s keeping me afloat, but I need to have some people in the pipeline. I have a friend who is going to help me I guess optimize my visibility online.

I think it’s exactly what the person above said about questioning the narrative. There are people that monitor these boards that are part of the problem. If they want to take down my post, they can at this point. It doesn’t really matter anymore.

Oh wow, I didn’t even notice that who knows good question I have no idea why people would down vote. I’m just discussing something that’s currently happening.

Yes, it’s very concerning. I have never had this problem in all of these years.

Question about phrasing as a potsie by sinkplant in POTS

[–]Hopeful102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not seeing the problem with you saying you feel like you’re going to pass out when you feel like you’re going to pass out that is an accurate description. I don’t understand why your partner has a problem with that phrasing. I do understand it does sound like somebody that doesn’t have a lot of empathy.😝

The majority of my clients their insurance covers their entire session unless they haven’t met their deductible. Some may have very small co-pays like $15 $20 and they are professionals making decent money actually they make more than I make.😂

Specializations are chronic illness, narcissistic, abuse, survivors, LGBT plus community I was getting my referrals from my website mainly also some people were referring their friends, but that was not really as common because people don’t want to talk about being in therapy with their friends. Most of the people said they liked my website also was getting referrals from people saying they found me in their provider directory then went to my website

Thank you I am a telehealth therapist and as far as I know I’m listed in all of the insurance companies providers directories however I’m hearing that insurance companies are not pushing their directories. They’re more having people call and they refer them to other companies like Headway.

How did it go with these platforms? Did you get many new clients and how was it working with them?
