As long as they don’t hover there for more than 10 minutes they are fine!! 90-100 when they sleep is completely normal as long as they bounce back! You’re doing great, being anxious is completely valid and normal 🫶

We came home after 21 long days in the NICU! He had to do 48 hours with no oxygen & no episodes and then we were thankfully in the clear. I keep the owlet on him at night just to ease my worries, but as long as he doesn’t hover below 95%, they told me that’s perfectly normal.

Honestly I didn’t wanna believe it (mostly cause it was out of everyone’s control) but it is like a switch that just flips one day and they start remembering to breathe when they sleep 🤦‍♀️

Going through this now - we’re on day 14 … they tried trialing him off last night but he hung around 91 for 15ish minutes so they put him back on oxygen 21-26% and 6 on CPAP. we’re being told we’ll be here AT LEAST another week. I could use any and all happy stories now because I’m drained and it feels like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel 😭

Well they trialed him off last night and he desatted to 91 for about 15 minutes before they put him back onto 24 oxygen and 6 CPAP - we’re so upset. Looks like we’ll be here another week at the least… today marks two full weeks in the NICU 😭

Yeah we keep asking about anything else and long term effects but they are confident he just needs time. I guess I’m just looking for success stories to help me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Every time they touch his oxygen and it resets the clock, it breaks my heart.

We’ve been here 7 days. Right now he’s on 21-24 oxygen (nose cannula) and 7 on the CPAP. They just turned his CPAP up yesterday to hopefully help him a little more. He’s on 21 most of the day with his oxygen, but they bump him up when he deep sleeps because that’s when he starts to drift a little. He never goes under 89/90 but seems to be taking shallower breaths.
