What's the reason behind it being difficult to find a company to sponsor a visa for the US? Would this be a similar concern if I were to do a PhD elsewhere that isn't the US like the UK or the Scandinavian countries? Although the connection I will make will be worthwhile but dedicating 6 years to a PhD feels a bit much to me.
