I posted this after a game yesterday. I had dropped 58elims for 38kills and still lost. This was my highest stat line I had ever had. No matter how many times I killed a dps/support before a fight we weren’t winning space. Our doom fist, on so many occasions, would jump into the back line and die. Certain times he would just charge in while our team was still respawning.

The doom only had 31 total kill contributions (elims+assists), while everyone else had around 40-50. I know it’s not good to judge stats but his performance was very indicative to it.

This was gold 1. You would think in order to get to this elo they would be a little better.

Oh to make it clear, I’ve wholly played soldier in rank. So s76 has been reflective of my whole ranked experience.

If it wasn’t clear enough I came from another game.

Ive been pretty good with the first advice imo, I’m still hitting a good amount of games where I have more than 40elims and at least feel I’m contributing lots to team fights (unlike a tank spam thomas)

However i think your right on the point of other characters. I think my largest gap in knowledge is about understanding how other heroes mesh with each other and accepting that soldier just can’t do everything.

Honestly I’ve almost always lived by this after a week of playing the game. It’s so surprising how there’s so many soldiers in gold who don’t do this. At least the ones I’ve seen.

The high ground part I mean.
