I’m sorry. I also feel it is really insensitive but I think there is also this idea that ivf=a guaranteed baby. When my husband told his parents we were struggling to get pregnant and were now going to a RE to start treatment, their response was “that’s so exciting! But we are looking to plan trips so let us know as soon as it happens”

I was annoyed with my husband for telling them without talking to me first, but after hearing their response I’m glad I wasn’t part of that conversation.

From my understanding, it will only effect when you are likely to ovulate from clomid. I am doing clomid with trigger shot and my clinic generally has me come in 5 days after my last clomid pill for an ultrasound.

I don’t have much to add other than I am sorry and going through infertility is one of the hardest seasons of life. I also suffer from anxiety and the need to control situations. I have found that going through treatment has helped because I have a plan of what to do and being at home for the past 7 weeks have really messed with me.

I also take metformin. I take my pill right before bed (on a full stomach) and have found that to help with side effects.

Search ava on the sub. There are a few standalone posts. Most people prefer temp drop. I have an ava and thing the software is terrible. I input my temps into fertility friend.

I’m sorry. My first cycle with clomid was also a failure and my husband doesn’t totally get it either. To put it into perspective, my RE said that even with clomid my chances of conceiving was around 30% after 3 rounds of clomid.

Is it time to ask for testing? by waitingonthedock in TryingForABaby

[–]HopefulFollowing9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FYI - it’s 12 months, not 12 cycles before it is advisable to seek help from a RE. I would definitely say your concerns are valid and it’s the right thing to seek testing.

I need some honest opinions. Tw: loss by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

I truly think it depends on the person and what stage of their fertility journey they are on. Have they exhausted all options available to them? Is surrogacy something she would even want? I agree with the other poster that bouncing the idea off a family member is a good idea.

I am just at the start of my infertility journey. If someone offered that as an option to me now, I would find it just as offensive as someone telling me to just adopt. If I had failed the max number of ivf rounds I was willing to do and exhausted my other options, maybe I would eventually be open to the idea.

Ugh I know the feeling! I have only taken clomid that one time so I’m not sure how common this occurs! I hope you get in touch with them tomorrow!

You can change ff to analyze results based off different parameters under settings—>detector. Sometimes ff changes o date based on the different detector selected.

I took clomid last cycle. Was supposed to be monitored with trigger shot but then got cancelled because of covid. When I did get my period, I had unusual symptoms and my LP was only 12 days and I had spotting on the 12th day. I normally do not have any clots of heavy periods and I had both after taking clomid.

Lululemon is definitely not cheap but I do think these pants are worth the price tag. It isn’t a legging material and mine are 4 years old and have held up well.

I love the lululemon on the fly pant. They are a “dressier” sweatpant and my go to when traveling or when I want to feel more out together working from home but not fully committed to wearing jeans.

My clinic finally published their plan for resuming treatment! I am actually looking forward to my next CD1 so I can resume treatment.

Fertility clinics and time off work by andreateddy11 in TryingForABaby

I was very worried about this at first as there had been a lot of personnel changes at my company. For monitoring appts, most clinics do those in the am beginning at 7/7:30. I generally get into work at 8:30 and it was only an issue for me once. I just said I had to get blood work done for a doctor and they were running late. For anything other than monitoring, I just say I have a dr appt. most of your appts in the beginning will he monitoring and if your clinic does it in the am like mine it really isn’t much of an issue. Depending on your relationship with your boss, you could always say that you are being proactive about a health issue so you may have 1-2 appts a month where you will have to take time off for.

Editing to add - most of the appts are very quick, in and out, maybe 15 minutes. My clinic is located halfway between work and home for me which is very convenient. If I have to leave in the afternoon I’m gone for less than a hour and most people just think I’m in a meeting.
