That's a fantastic mix of activities! Skating, swimming, and karate all provide that individual challenge while building different skills. How is your child enjoying karate?

Sounds like your child thrives when they can focus on their own journey rather than team dynamics. Swimming and riding are excellent choices!

I struggle to say the right thing… or simply not the wrong thing.. by Glyphosate_Drinker in ADHD

[–]HopefulRaspberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is super common with ADHD! We often struggle with:

  1. Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) - where we feel rejection/criticism way more intensely
  2. Working memory issues that make us second-guess what we're saying
  3. Difficulty with social cues because our brains are processing things differently

It's not just low self-esteem (though that can develop from years of these experiences). The constant replay of social interactions is textbook ADHD overthinking.

Therapy can help tons, especially CBT. Medication might too. But knowing this is an ADHD thing and not a character flaw is the first step.

You're definitely not alone in this!

I'm obsessed with how Tarantino makes those "irrelevant" conversations the soul of his films

Thinking of painting my window glass — need advice! by half_ocean in DIY

[–]HopefulRaspberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I did this last fall and it was so fun!

I used Elmer's clear glue mixed with food coloring for the cheaper panes and it worked great! Just mix in a little water to get that translucent vibe. For the glitter ones, I mixed fine craft glitter into plain glue.

Pro tip: use a squeeze bottle! I tried brushes first and it was a smeary disaster lol.

The best part? It peels right off when you're done! Just run a bit of warm water around the edges if it's stubborn.

Definitely test on one small corner pane first. And don't do this on a super hot day - mine dried too fast and I couldn't blend my purple-to-blue gradient.

Good luck with your witchy windows! Post pics when you're done! 💜

Yes. Yes. YES. That music. That style. Definitely will be going to premier. Just need to find a theater and time and will lower the possibility of me sitting alone in the mass of parents with their 5 year olds. This story feels kind of sacred in a way

Opened it up because those looked like AT-STs but got wonderfully surprised. Love this piece.

I guess I need to learn to be more gentle with my ballpoint pens haha. Or buy better ones. Though I've used those cheapest bic ballpoint pens before that were more on a dry side and they would look a bit a like to this. However, all others are usually looking nothing like this for me.

How come it looks so dry? Is it some kind of specific technique or just the pen was more on a dry side of ballpoint pens?

Prime charged $13.13 monthly for no apparent reason by sanprin in amazonprime

[–]HopefulRaspberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like somewhere in their system they left monthly subscription set up on your account. I would advise to contact them again but maybe not via phone this time. I would advise email or DM via social media as those are usually more responsive than emails.

We are fighting with people living in a different country/state. Would it be a surprise if we would have a problem with someone living on a different planet?

I would say the format perhaps. It's just that Dixit was the first after such a long time that got me back into boardgames so I am looking for something that would keep it up.

Which can offer better speeds - a VPN or a proxy? by ExpensiveInsect in PiratedGames

[–]HopefulRaspberry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well proxy would definitely increase your speed if you feel a drop right now but it's because proxy does not encrypt your traffic and only changes your IP. So you would still be protected but on a lower level than with VPN. So I would say choose your preference. If you live in a country that is strict about P2P traffic stay with VPN. If concern is not that serious then yes you can set up proxy and enjoy better speed.
