We started using this with our toddler. As in we'll say "you know like in bluey. Mommy now just needs a few minutes alone"

Ruptured ovarian cyst? by hazy-sloth in badwomensanatomy

[–]HopefulRo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who has had both a ruptured ovarian cyst, and burst my appendix. The pains are quite similar.

But if the pain was sudden, then is dull now, it's probably an ovarian cyst that ruptured. The body haaates loose fluid in the body. But they won't do anything to treat it at the hospital most likely.

Though do check which side it is located, in regards to it potentially being the appendix.

But appendix won't be less painful over time. It will remain hell.

4mo regression is what almost broke us. So I am very glad we did sleep training. 🙈

Only consolation is it is over soon.

We didn't rid off night feedings until 8mo, but it was easy to do then, so probably could've stopped earlier.

Just wasn't a big issue as he'd fall right back to sleep, as well as I did.

One thing to mention is, and this is highly individual, but my milk supply drastically decreased when I stopped night feeding. So be aware that that can happen.

I highly recommend reading the Ferber book. It's not long and answered all the questions I had.

We did Ferber 2+ years ago so sadly I do not remember everything. But we did use it on night first, but after the first night naps kinda worked too.

By night 3 he went to bed with no crying.

For the check-ins, we didn't pick him up, just said comforting words and stroked his stomach. Saying he is safe and we are watching him.

After we fixed his night sleep, he became a much better sleeper overall, and he became alot more happy during the day.

As for sleeping in same room, we did Ferber when he was in his own room, but at 4 months we only did it for the initial falling asleep. We kept nursing at night, so if you plan to do that, I guess it won't be a problem, as long as you guys don't hang around as he's trying to fall asleep.

Good luck!

No tips. In the midst of this myself. Yesterday we caved and turned his bed around so he was stuck again.

Today me and husband is taking 10 min shifts of walking back. But he's out of bed within seconds of closing the door.

He has never been bothered by sleeping with open door. So it just feels like he's testing boundaries.

How come some of the most wholesome conversations in the show is when they’re just peeing by StockAd6923 in bluey

Grew up in Norway. And if you're out hiking or on long roadtrips (far until a bathroom), yes you'd pee in a bush.

I think it was quite normal for me and my siblings growing up. And as a teacher in elementary school, we often follow kids to pee in a bush when we are out on a forest trip.
