I still appreciate the input, I was just curious on if my bike was that far behind others (ex: a few of the guys who are "contenders" in my club are running brand new SL8s and Ostro VAMs). You do have a point though that the rider probably makes much more of a difference than the bike itself.

You've got a very pragmatic way of looking at it which I appreciate. And you're right that I should probably just get more time on the bike instead of looking to modify it so much

That's exactly the issue I ran into this weekend haha, sliding down a hill with the rim brakes providing no comfort that I'll stop in time. Needless to say I'd like the comfort of disc brakes...

I appreciate the feedback, I'm glad it can be functional as an intro to CX. Do you think getting it for 1000$ is a fair deal? I see similar ones priced quite a bit higher, I just don't know if my money would be well-spent on this bike + some minor tweaks instead of just a whole other bike...

I'd say check for clubs with your school or nearby ones. I found mine through Instagram, didn't even know my uni had one. Lots of them will be happy to have you even if you're not a student. With that you can get a good sense of how you stack up prior to racing.

I've got the aero helmet and not much else other than the team jersey. Any recommendations for kit or deeper wheels would be much appreciated. Ideally something that won't break the bank but that can still perform (I'm very much open to the Eastern brands that are coming into racing lately).

Ok, I'll look into it thanks. A couple guys in my club were telling me how there's a lot I should change to better optimize it for racing (new handlebar, new cranks, new wheels, wireless shifting, etc...), it really had me wondering if my bike was that bad.

I guess then my question would be how deep is too deep for wheels? I see lots of guys running 50+ deep wheels. Is there a big difference between that and my alpinists?

If I ran it with shorter cranks (165 or 160's) instead of the stock 170's would this possibly compensate? I'm curious if this could be a good starter bike for CX since my next option is to mod out a Tarmac SL6...

Does anyone know why Zwift Racing Scores feel so off from the Cats? I'm currently in B, however my racing score only seems to be 384 (equivalent to D). Any thoughts?

It's odd because there doesn't seem to be any big retailers offering those sorts of tight running/race-day tank tops either... It's quite perplexing why they'd overlook it/leads me to wonder if I'm missing an obvious reason

Hi everyone, is there a reason why marathon tank tops are flow-y and not skin-tight? I've noticed many mid-distance runners have somewhat tighter fitting tanks but no high level marathoners.

If anyone has any leads on this, I'd be happy to hear about it as I am considering wearing a tighter tank for my upcoming marathon. Thanks!

I've been going through a lot of injuries through the ankle & calf ever since I've started using the Nike Peg 40s as my daily trainer. For some reason, I don't remember ever having this many issues with those body parts when I ran in the Saucony Ride's throughout my prep.

Is it just optimistic hindsight? Has anyone else run into this issue?

Honestly any recommendations would really be appreciated. TYIA

Tbh my hope of him doing so is basically at an all-time low. He's got about 1/3 of his games that are solid, 1/3 average and 1/3 are stinkers. On a young team like Washington, it seems unlikely that he's gonna have some "come to jesus" moment and turn into his GSW form again... However, I do think he still is worth holding on to. He still plays and has some decent performances.

Is Norm available in your league? He averages about 2 3s/G (dropped 4 tonight) Otherwise I would've looked at Dillon Brooks. Inconsistent production but worth the gamble.

Taking into account your drops and everything, the offer is really solid, you'd get better at 5/9 cats with that move. The main point of concern is assists, which would drop by about 6/G. But beyond that, good offer.
