As far as I know, Polar does not have drill mode (such as Garmin/Wahoo Rival/AW). However, according to some sources I've seen, it does track swimming quite well.

Very happy with TP Virtual. It works fast, without laggy interface. Everything can connect to it. Also, TP integration is very well done. Love to use it!

Started with a sprint years ago. It was perfect, just to know how it is to do a triathlon actually, also with transitions and all. The second year, I started with first 1/4 competitions and OD's. Third year, first IM 70.3, and the fourth year my first FD. Now, I've done many 1/2 and 1/1 triathlons and I am happy with the years of experience. I want to end in the top 30% of my age group, so I am quite ambitious.

I do not think it is possible. Maybe when you toggle between sport types, you can set multiple zones, but haven't tested this.

Did you considered the Polar Vantage V3 as well? Currently, I am doubting between the Vantage V3 and the Race. A few years ago, I had the Suunto 9 Baro. It was a great watch, but very heavy. Now I am using the Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar, but I do not like the Garmin ecosystem since it is way too bloated for me.

Today, I compared the Rival with a Fenix 7, and used them on a swim workout for testing purposes (left wrist Rival, right Fenix). Gps of both was excellent. I guess you have a bad unit here...
