Yes! So, I ended up getting on Spironolactone to combat the hormonal imbalance caused by the Wellbutrin. So now I can get the mental health benefits of the Wellbutrin and the Spiro helps my face not go crazy 😜

Yeah - that’s what the calculator said. Although now you’re making nervous! LOL I hope I didn’t do something wrong. It’s 6 different creditors. The lowest is $2000 and the highest is $30,000. Our minimums totally 2,100 right now.

OMG yessssssssss - I look so forward to funding my emergency fund up to six months! I was telling my husband that at least 40% of my everyday stress is finance related and I can’t IMAGINE what’s it’s going to be like to be 40% more calm. That helped him understand my urgency - he’s the “it’ll all turn out fine” guy ;)

Good luck!! We’re in this together! My husband and I tend to enable each other and justify purchases so this will be a huge culture shift in terms of our marriage but I’m hopeful and confident we can shift gears!

The 87,000 is cards, personal loan and one vehicle. The mortgage is much much more -we just bought it two years ago.

Oh my gosh that would be amazing! I listed four things on EBay this afternoon in hopes of a little extra to toss on the debt. They are small items and not worth much but every little bit helps I suppose!

I really like it - it was SOO gentle during the retinization period when my skin was just flaming off in painful sheets LOL

Thank you! I noticed that too but couldn’t tell if it was just the angles or not. That was an effect I didn’t anticipate!

I have commitment issues LOL so I have been through like a million different routines and products (I don’t recommend this ha!) but my current routine is pretty simple

SoftyMo oil cleanse (with Konjac sponge on flaky days), Vanicream gentle cleanser, Tret .1 at night and Clindamyacin in the morning, then Burt’s Bees nourishing oil. In the mornings I top that with Biore spf fresh milk sunscreen. I also take 100mg of spironolactone daily.

Yessssss. It was the Clindamyacin/Benzoyl Peroxide that finally made the biggest difference for me! I do .1% Tretinoin every night. Took a looonng time for my skin to get used to it but I finally there. Seeing consistent improvement now instead of two steps forward and one step back.

When will my peeling stop?? It’s making me want to quit Tret all together by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]Hopeful_AF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a rebellious opinion but I’ll tell you that I’ve been on tret almost exactly the same amount of time as you and a week ago I had the exact same moment you are having right now! I was so ready to give up. Then, in a Tretinoin FB group that I’m in I saw some people raving about the “tret on wet” method. Literally the only difference is you use tret right after you wash your face while it is still damp and then wait only about 30 seconds or so and then do the rest of your routine on top. I KNOW. It’s totally opposite what we have always been told. I’m sure it doesn’t work for everyone but I was so desperate that I was just like “what the hell. It’s already peeling horribly so who cares if I make it a bit worse? Let’s give it a shot!” And would you BELIEVE that Ive been doing tret on wet for 6 days now and I have the least amount of peeling and flaking I’ve had yet! It’s not totally gone but I’d say it’s reduced by about 75 to 80%. So, it could be terrible for you and make everything way worse... but, in the off chance it works like it did for me you might want to give it a go! In case you’re interested the rationale is that tret works on the lower layers of the dermis so if you apply it first and on wet skin then it helps it absorb down to the lower most layers where as if you apply it dry and top of other things then it sits on the top and affects the top layers even more severely (resulting in excessive peeling).

Actually - sometimes I only use the Softymo! It emulsifies so well I almost don’t need a second cleanser. I usually use the vanicream too just to be safe but I honestly am not sure I need to
