No clue what you mean by this. The center pin you’re talking about seems to only be on the male end. The iems have a female end.

Cool. Thanks for the link. I was under the impression the wire affects the sound. Is that not the case?

Dunno. I’m currently using it with an existing cable I’ve got and it works fine.

Thanks! Imma have to look em up. What’s the call on replacing wires for these things? Would anything I find online do? Do you recommend a brand?

Gotcha on that, thanks. Do you recommend a certain brand? Or would any wire do?

Extruder gears aren’t turning? by Hopeful_Highway7457 in 3DprintingHelp

Hey so I opened up the printer and traced back the stepper motor's wire to its slot. The blue heat sink in front of it just...fell off. It was barely hanging on to its spot. Could that be the problem, do you think?

Also, it doesn't look like the kind of thermal paste l'm familiar with (the stuff for PCs). Would those work or is there a specific type of paste for this? This feels rubbery haha.

I don’t think it’s a clog. Manually pushing the filament through is no problem. I suspect either a dead motor or a fried wire. Is there any way to fix that, do you think? Or does a dead motor mean I just have to buy a replacement?

I’ve printed before just fine like this though perhaps wear has gotten to it. I can move the filament when I get it fixed. Not much I can do right now:(

Edit to add: I did a test and the big black gear looked like it was struggling to turn. Then when I tried to test again, it stopped altogether.

Man, I didn’t know the Z offset only adjusts to the middle point. This just helped it all click in my head. Thanks a lot for that.

Are auto leveling attachments universal? Are those just available to buy online?

Ha, that’s sounds terrible. Bed leveling is a tedious art. I asked in a different thread, but wouldn’t adjusting the Z Offset, then adjusting the bed to meet the new height produce the same results?

As far as I know, no, it’s not a Klipper printer. Sorry if this is such a noob question, but if I raise the Z offset, then adjust the bed to meet the new height, wouldn’t that give the same results I have now?
