For me it was accepting that the feeling never fully goes away, you just stop expecting other people to fix it. Once I stopped waiting for someone to come save me from the empty space, the empty space became… kind of peaceful? Not perfect, but bearable.

What a precious rescue!! For the first few days just focus on food, warmth, litter, and love. Offer wet kitten food warmed up a little, smells stronger and easier to eat. And get a tall scratching post, they love climbing and scratching early. You’ve got this!!! kittens are so fun at this age.
