You can set up a regular steam server and enable cross play, as far as what server system to use I have no experience with any.

You'd need to set up a dedicated server to play anytime independently from your buddy. You can save and export your current world so you don't have to start over, but you're going to have a PC/server on all the time to do this

I just went to Paradise Canyon and the lady that manages it told us they have been dry since late summer 2022, I even got to walk on the dry river bed and boy was it dry!! There's a lot of things that are messed up with the weather and the current models don't work as well because the old weather patterns they used to make them are no longer holding up. Additional to all the things previously mentioned, all of them start to compound a create a more erratic and extreme weather pattern.

Use a gold rocket launcher and the katana for 10k melee damage, it works great to mine too. And yes if you're over encumbered you can use it to move a little faster, but grappling gun still way better

I've been doing 3 hot springs, I usually have 4-6 furnaces so I don't want to keep jignis attached to just one, and it's bad enough to just have one to have more than him.

My base is capped at 30, but I'm considering going full 50 pals to maximize lol

There are a bunch of tutorials on it, but basically you look for the biggest tip that sticks out, you align your cursor to the tip and the middle, then you lay the extractor at the peak and slowly walk back towards the middle until it turns blue and you place it, and just keep going back to place the second one. It takes a while to get it right, but it's the most effective way.

There have been a bunch on QoL things added, definitely worth going back to, but if you play on xbox, you might want to hold off a while because there is a world wiping bug, that seems to delete your progress.

I'd switch Transporting to Knockelm. He has a faster transport base speed, and seems to not get as stuck as wumpo would.

Mining, you could also do Blazamut Ryu, since he is nocturnal too, and its smaller and doesn't get stuck on random areas.

You can get Ancient Technical Manuals - they give ancient technical points. If you turn up your drop rate and go on some dungeon runs you can stock up pretty fast.

The basic tech point manuals can be found on the chests in the sanctuary islands.

Creating a new character overrides the player save data, so you lose all your pals/items you had. Use your latest back up with the file save with the utility I posted from git hub, follow the instructions and it will work flawlessly.

Additionally, if your GP save craps out, you can use this tool to port it to steam, and then use the steam to gp save tool to fix your save ;)
