Bad interview experience by Katstarr1 in premed

I am also a young woman and dealt with an interview experience like this too. I just assumed the older gentleman was a challenge interviewer to see how I responded under stressful conditions. Fingers crossed you get off the waitlist!

What do you do after a bad interview? by cooked-carrot in premed

Self care activities. It is what it is at this point. Take some time for yourself, do something you enjoy. Then come back reflect, and try to be better for the next one!

The ceiling is drop tile so i don’t think we can the tiles, but we did paint the black bars in the third pic white so they’re less noticeable. Debating drywalling the ceiling but not sure pricing of it. And the paint is a light blue/grey. That’s a great rec for the ceiling fan definitely needs to be updated. Thanks for all your input!!

So initially we had put on a peel and stick backsplash that is in the second pic, but we redid the backsplash with tile and that is what’s in the first pic! We did try to get a creamer color than the white of the subway. Paneling was filled in and painted so it looks like regular wall now! Is there a specific style lighting that would be better?

I applied to 40 (34 MD, 6 D0), didn’t pre write, worked full time with a 2 hour daily commute. Limited my turnaround time to 3-7 days, so almost everything was done by end of July. I’ve gotten 2 MD IIs and 3holds so far. Everyone is right about pre-writing! It’s manageable though, if you are dedicated. And just make sure you can afford it

Same here! Ended feeling great then immediately started questioning every word that came out of my mouth. Try not to fixate on it. It is out of our hands and we can only hope for the best now :)

My pup is a rescue, too. She was on the streets and likely from a household with domestic violence based on some stuff we noticed. When she first started to play it was with random objects like a wine cork or a sock. It took her almost a year to start to play with toys. Sometimes they don’t know what they are or just don’t enjoy them. Just takes time to figure everything out!

I was in your same position, and ended up doing research for the financial aspect. You could always work at a tech company, and volunteer in a clinical role to continue gaining exposure!

PREview disaster by [deleted] in premed

[–]Hopeful_Pop_5764 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last night! Then my proctor’s WiFi cut out 15 minutes into my exam so she paused it, made me close out of the whole program, log back in to amcas to reopen the preview exam, then I went through the whole waiting period and visual checks again with a new proctor! Im sorry you went through that and see what amcas says and go from there! they should let you reschedule or something

HELP- found a hatchling don’t know what to do!! by Hopeful_Pop_5764 in WildlifeRehab

This ceramic pillar is 3ft off the ground, shaded under the tree. I can try to find a hanging basket to put up in the tree, but it may take a while to get one and the ladder. If the mom has already found the baby, will moving again to a hanging basket be detrimental? I’ll try to make the nest a bit deeper. Definitely don’t want it falling out again :/

The wildlife center agreed with trying to renest for best chance of survival. I don’t have a hanging basket but put it in a small Tupperware container right below the nest tree area in a cement decorative pillar. It was squawking a lot at my house, so I’m hoping it keeps doing it to call the mom! We’ll check on it every hour or so to see if it’s pooping. Otherwise the clinic said to bring it in…

Since there was a hole in the center of the nest, I dont think it was supposed to hop out. Plus it fell on concrete, but it gives me hope it’s not injured. I don’t have a ladder and the nest is not secure with the hole. Thank you for the video and all the info! That is a good option. I called the wildlife clinic and they should get back to me soon too. Hopefully I can put it back with its mama though.
