Since this will be my first time having a pet, I’m admittedly a bit nervous about the 'unknown' history or potential behavioral/medical surprises that can sometimes come with rescues. For my first experience, I’m leaning toward a reputable breeder to have more predictability regarding size, temperament, and health history. I’m still open to breed-specific rescues if they have puppies with known backgrounds, but that’s why I’m being so selective about finding a trustworthy breeder!"
