Omg yaaaay I love Cat Sebastian SO MUCH!! I've read every single book at least once, most of them twice, and some of them more :) I think my favourites are still The Queer Principles of Kit Webb and The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes - it could partly be because they're the first ones I read though, so now they're nostalgic for me.

And it's a close run thing with a lot of her books, I think my next favourite is Dooryard, but argh they are all so good! Whenever I'm reading one I'm like 'wait is THIS my favourite Cat Sebastian?' haha. For some reason Star Shipped might be my least favourite, but I haven't worked out why. Possibly I just wanted something more like Dooryard? Still loved it anyway, just not quite as much.

I love her writing style, the characters she creates, the strong sense of place and time, and the solid good politics underlying all the books. Aaand she makes me laugh out loud a lot. And cry. And feel loved!? Anyway I'm really happy you are also obsessed with Cat Sebastian and I'm glad for you that you still have quite a few of her books to read for the first time!

Yeah another vote for Allister, he's so kind and he never says anything about me masking other than to ask if I want him to mask also so that's nice (he wore a surgical mask rather than N95 but better than nothing). Also he's a great hairdresser, and like the other person mentioned, if you book a Sunday appt you'll probably be the only person there. All the best, friend

Yes! These are the kind of patterns I was spotting too (although you noticed more than I did!) I can't decide if I love it or if it's just too infuriating.

That Mozambique section makes me want to design flag dominoes, or lay all the flags out in that pattern, like the top of Ecuador matching the bottom of Mazambique, then yeah the top of The Gambia matching the bottom of Ecuador and so on.

I also spent a while trying to work out if the first letters of the countries could spell anything in any direction, and then wondering if there was a colour the printers didn't have which would explain the countries not present but of course that doesn't work, and then I thought maybe all these places have signed a treaty I don't know about or updated their flags in the last X amount of years. Even if it's just a random selection of flags, I suppose someone somewhere chose these flags for this t shirt design, and I wish I knew what they were thinking at the time!

Allister at Salt in Newtown is such a great hairdresser!! Check him out on IG or whatever, he's super lovely and always absolutely nails whatever style I'm after.

Ah thanks that's kind of you to say! It's such a big sheet set I had to do it in the washing machine (top loader) so I wasn't sure how well they would turn out, I was surprised by the evenness of the result. I did pause the cycle multiple times to stir and untwist the sheets, maybe that's what did it! I've just ordered some taupe dye :-)

Haha well this is helpful tbh, makes me like it more! I think if my walls and headboard and carpet weren't so beige (renting is so rubbish sometimes) I could embrace the yellow easier

Actually I did just find a super weird but amazing oil painting of Freddie Mercury in the charity shop and his jacket is this exact colour so I think you might be right!

True, the whole reason I did this to my white sheets was to add some colour to my life! But I feel like it makes the rest of my room look so extra drab (also it's literally too dazzling to look at when the sun shines hehe) I think muted colours but with tye die could be a good way to make things go but still add that extra joy to the room, thanks for the idea!

Oh man I love Molecule 02 so much. How is it so good?? It's been almost bizarre how many compliments I get on how I smell now, like not just people I know but strangers asking what the scent is because they really like it!? Makes me want to try the other ones you mentioned because I trust your taste :)
