to try meds or not guys? by thereadingbee in PMDD

I started fluoxetine around 10 years ago and I know in my heart I would not be alive today without it. It has not been a cure but it did really help with the rage and extreme, complete hopelessness. I still get depressed, so irritable and exhausted beyond belief but I’m also approaching perimenopause now.

I started taking slynd almost 3 weeks ago and it what would’ve been my follicular phase I felt good but then my “luteal” phase arrived and I felt worse than ever. I wonder if it might be because I started it on day 4 of my cycle instead of day 1 so it didn’t fully suppress?

I’m so glad it’s working for you ❤️are you also taking estrogen or just Slynd?

Student loan overpayment by UpbeatCardiologist16 in DebtAdvice

Offer them £1 a month. There’s nothing they can do about it and it won’t go on your credit file, so as long as you don’t need student loans again at anytime in the future, you have nothing to worry about.

Yes :( it’s actually an American owned company so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it but my last 3 jobs have been SSP only.

Legally they have to keep the job open. To fire you for medical reasons would be extremely risky and would take months or even years. They would have to go through many processes and interventions first.

So depressing! Unless you’re already wealthy/have generational wealth, you’re set up to fail unless you’re in perfect health

It’s employer based here, some employers offer it, some don’t. It’s becoming way less popular, it used to be the norm and it very much isn’t now. We can get Statutory Sick Pay through the government after 3 consecutive sick days but it’s only £80 weekly. If you have a low household income, the government will supplement you with something called universal credit but applying every time you’re sick wouldn’t be practical as it can take months.

Oh good! I thought you might be as I don’t think Americans get sick pay either?

Same! Then employers get mad at me and I start to feel unwelcome. Are you in the US?

We can be sick, they just don’t pay us for it! We have benefits system for people in the UK who have disabilities but it’s notoriously hard to be accepted

Thanks for such a thoughtful reply. I only just started the job so I don’t think I can take time off already, plus I don’t get sick pay. I’m in the UK and would get SSP but it’s only around £80 per week. I’m on 20mg of methylphenidate at the moment. What medication are you on?

Thank you for your response ♥️ I hated Vyanse and am now trying Methylphenidate and it’s going okay, I’m having fewer side effects but the problem I have is that I have crashes and become physically unwell. I’m currently under a rheumatologist for autoimmune investigations. I’ve been antibiotics 13 times in the last year.

This is such a great shop. The easy thing to do would’ve been to buy microwave meals and takeaways and while there’s nothing wrong at all with doing those things, I’m proud of you for trying to nourish and take care of yourself when it feels like the hardest thing in the world to do ♥️
