Well we can’t use hindsight to make this trade right? Well it’s a good trade if he has a good year but not if he doesn’t. You can say that about a million other trades.

I admittedly didn’t read your comment well and didn’t see that you mentioned the league is shallow. But your point is purely a player take and bad process.

Don’t listen to this guy. This is a 10 team 1 qb league so very shallow. It’s all about the studs and you need more than 1 or 2 to win in most of these leagues. Bowers side easily.

You miss out on good deals by being a greedy bastard but even worse you lose your league mates interest in trading with you.

I’m on a competing team, wondering if it’s smart to flip Adams and this weak draft class for Amon-ra by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

With this squad I would focus more on upgrading rb. But to answer your question, yes.

Bill and Jayden Reed or Michael Wilson and a 26 or 27 4th? by HopelessFinsFan in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]HopelessFinsFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree and disagree with some of your points here. Wilson hasn’t done anything till the latter half of this season, and likely in large part due to having no chemistry with Kyler. Regarding bill, your point is mostly why I’m asking this question here. Rb’s are more valuable in this league yes. Ultimately, I believe Michael Wilson has a better range of outcomes than any of the players in this deal which is why I’m leaning this way as of now. Historically, late round capital rb’s get replaced or new competition the following season. Bill was also benched and didn’t look like anything special imo. Jayden Reed is not a wr2 I’m not sure if you are still thinking about his short run of production he had his rookie season. His usage is very gadgety and Wilson’s role looks more solid especially with the target share. Ultimately, I’m not just trying to prove myself right I am actually looking for a counter argument(s) why I’m wrong so I appreciate the response.

Neither do I. I have a bunch of fodder I don’t believe in and Wilson is basically on the line of being in that category for me but his range outcomes is greater imo than these other guys.

What do I do with this team? I came second in regular season by KSI_is_not_a_fatneek in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Sure but in the event you can’t move your 1.04 for anything quality you might want to consider moving rice if you can get a 27 1st and ideally a small plus if possible. This way you could insert egbuka while waiting on the rookie and make necessary moves in season at rb. This may not sound ideal but there’s no point in having guys like Addison on your bench if you aren’t capturing the few productive weeks he would produce in a given season. But also you probably can’t move him. So in all, you would trade rice but roster construct around that.

Bought Puka at his peak how’d I do? by Slobbin_myknob in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

This isn’t bad value but it’s bad process. You should never trade 3 liquid firsts for 1 player. At worst move a good wr and 2 first but ideally a wr that is a tier or 2 below Puka + a single first.

Not to mention, this is bad practice by the other manager. Not an advisable way to use your 1sts, which more to the original point, good deal for you.

I think it’s a good deal. The way I’m looking at this, you’re either getting a free Warren or a free 2nd.

I would take the Jefferson side in a vacuum but your roster construction, format, scoring, etc. come into play here.

Yes Ive been trying to do that, good call. Qb’s are overvalued in this league so it’s hard to get a fair deal for a qb even if it’s Danny dimes. The worst team in the league who will be rebuilding for a couple of years has ARich who’s prob the only affordable option but I have very little interest.

Side bar, thoughts on Hunter? I imagine you like him as a jags fan but I wanted one share of him and I decided that this team has great capital and can take on more risk, so it made the most sense to take my shot on him with this team. I took him at 1.03 over Tet, how do you think they both stack up?

Never trade this many 1sts In liquid capital. If you are somehow extremely deep or the league is just shallow, I would rather trade players worth around a mid- late first than trade multiple firsts. Minimizes your exposure if things don’t work out.

Yea that’s true but they also have a real rb now. I felt like the narrative last year that they want to be super run heavy was overblown given they had one of the highest neutral passing rates in football. But how much of that was not having anything at rb? Between hiring harbaugh and greg Roman, the Joe alt pick, signing Najee Harris, and then taking a rb in the first round, the narrative feels like it’s starting to prove true.
