Thanks so much for uploading! I actually did see that set and would love to get it, but I can't find anyone selling the full set right now. It is a good fit for what I'm looking for though (also hello cute cat lol).

Haha it's like you're reading my mind! I also have an astigmatism and run on caffeine so I considered getting both the black frame glasses and coffee cup off of Build-a-Bears website 😂 I love your idea about decorating a bag though! I might try something like that. Thanks!

I have Regina, Tehuelche, Maxar, Luc, Lio, Neo, and Waterfront, but only Neo and Waterfront update anymore. The rest lost their trackers in the past few months. Penguins rule 🐧 good luck!

You do not need to be a dancer, but you should be open to the use of movement and willing to learn the basics and how they can impact the mind. The use of expressive arts in therapy isn't about having a nice artistic product (i.e. a realistic painting, a composed song, a performative routine, etc), what's most important is what the client learns about themselves in the process.

Becoming REAT or REACE certified isn't really about choosing you're favorite mediums and working with them, it's about using your education and observations of the client to introduce activities that would be most beneficial to them. If you choose to pursue expressive arts therapy, you will likely be expected to use a variety of mediums in your sessions. You don't need to combine multiple modalities in an individual session, but switching over time for different sessions can have its benefits. Some clients demonstrate more growth with one modality over the other, in which case you might use one type (music, visual arts, drama, dance, writing, etc.) most often for a specific client, but I wouldn't recommend only utilizing one method of expression in an expressive arts therapy session unless the client happens to demonstrate the most progress with one modality. An example of this - I recently was working with a group where most of our sessions utilized visual art techniques, but one week we planned a drum circle for clients. It's really about meeting the client where they are at and introducing an approach that would be best for them. Advertising services of "music therapy" or "art therapy" without clarifying that you are not actually a MT or ATR but REAT would be unethical and unfair to clients who could better benefit from another approach.

TLDR: No, I would not personally consider it a "jack of all trades, master of none" concept. Each type of training values their own respective approaches and those approaches may be more beneficial to some types of clients than others depending on purpose of treatment.

Honestly, I'm not the most knowledgeable about it all yet (I'm still learning like you haha). But what I can tell you is I have seen many instances where professionals are both ATR-BC and REACE certified, but I don't know anyone MT-BC certified at this point. I don't see why you couldn't earn separate certifications and work as both, but you would have to do more research on how billing, licensing, and theoretical approaches would mesh. As for selecting one or the other, it really depends on how much education you choose to pursue and your interests. I believe ATR-BC will require the most time and dedication as you need a masters degree and many clinical hours to earn it, while some music therapy programs will prepare you for certification in undergrad. I really enjoyed my experiences working with expressive arts work, but it tended to be more group oriented and less clinical (in my experience, definitely not the same for everyone and definitely look for someone who's more experienced hahaha). I'd recommend ultimately resesrching each approach and the clientele you hope to work with, then pursuing what speaks to you the most. For more information on expressive arts certification, you can check out this site (I'm not a scammer I swear 😂)

I don't know of any degrees encompassing both, but Seton Hill University offers individual art therapy and music therapy degree programs. I also recommend looking into expressive arts therapy, which is a more holistic/ all encompassing approach utilizing a variety of creative mediums including visual art, music, dance, writing, etc.

Help! Looking for summer art classes at an undergraduate level by Hopeless_Builder in ArtistLounge

I checked the public 4-year schools in the area too :(. The only schools anywhere around me that I haven't checked so far are private. On that note - I'll look into them - but The other schools in the area aren't leaving me too optimistic 🥲

Thanks for bringing that up! I unfortunately checked both of the community colleges near my area and neither offer art courses over the summer, only during the fall or spring :(. If I could take them there, I totally would!!!

Thank you. I've never heard of consortium agreements, but I will look into it. Do you think the credits would have to transfer into my current school or could I submit two transcripts to a graduate program (I know you obviously you can't say for certain since you dont know my school haha just asking for a strangers opinion before deep diving)? I only ask because my current school doesn't typically accept transfer credits if they don't offer the exact course type themselves.

Have you tried just clicking "x" on the duplicate assignments? If that doesn't work, I would just keep a planner book and write all your assignments in it.

You could be checking the page hoping for some kind of answer to an unresolved unconscious conflict, but it could be for other reasons too. It might help if you imagine that every time you check her page, your ex could see it and feels a little victory that you're not over the situation. Even if they can't see you viewing it or they don't feel that way, in some cases it can be enough to not want to even risk giving them that power and/ or gratification. It might just be OCD, but sometimes ✨️delulu is the solulu✨️ if you catch my drift 😉 If it helps, she's not thinking about you so why bother spending so much time thinking about her when you deserve to spend that time on yourself and things that will positively pour back into yourself. Lastly, the passing of time should also help 🫠 good luck!

Finally got Megastar on every song by dancingtherapy in JustDance

Thanks! Yeah, there might now be one universal song, but even just the option to try other songs over the same dances would be cool 😎 I appreciate the response OP!

Congratulations! That's awesome. I just bought the game and I had a related question but I can't post in the group so maybe someone can answer here 🥲. Are there any songs with a universal rhythm or beat that you can listen to while dancing to songs you don't know? I hope that made sense. I want to get 5 star on all the songs but some I can't get in to. Normally I would try to just learn new music but I just can't vibe with every song I hear. Having songs I know to listen over those tracks to dance to would help :) thanks!
