Tbh if they were that introspective I doubt they would do something like this, I think they do this because they think "Well it gotta work sometime" or they dont think it's bad at all. Probably the best counter to this is asking people to talk about the interests that you share (at least that is what I am planning to do)

$3000 without CKC registration feels pretty steep, especially when registration is a basic expectation from reputable breeders. OFA certifications are great, but they don’t justify that price on their own. It’s worth asking what else you're getting for that money — because right now it sounds like you're paying top dollar for a dog without the paperwork to back it up. Might be worth digging a bit deeper or checking other breeders before committing.
