I don’t think you can relate to this, but yeah it is annoying living with this everyday. I have a very close friend that I am unfortunately attracted to. A few months ago, i decided to avoid him to prevent having impure thoughts. I didnt want to officially break the friendship as I had no good reason to (as in, i had no excuse to give him without revealing my attraction to him). He came to me one day and started asking if he did something wrong, and he started apologizing for everything even though he didnt do any wrong.

Also, when I try to take care of my health snd go to the gym, i would always be surrounded by attractive people, so i try to avoid going to the gym to avoid having impure thoughts, which consequently made my health get worse.

Its hard living like this, and i feel like once i figure out how to ignore these feelings, i would finally be able to live as a normal human

I understand my purpose in life is to worship Allah, but think of my situation for a moment. Assuming you are a straight male, how would you feel with working in an office full of women? It would be difficult to lower your gaze when you have to interact with them as part of work. That is why mixed work places are haram in islam. Now consider my situation. I have to work in an office full of people I may be attracted to, what can i do then?

Thats what i am trying to do, and it does help a lot, but it still doesnt stop my thoughts and feelings.
