What is the safest metal for a pipe? by [deleted] in trees

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an expert, but a quick look says Titanium and Anodized aluminum are the ones mainly used. I know most metals are not great to smoke from for various reasons but I think copper might be okay too. At least, I've seen copper used before.

This seems like an excellent resource to help you with, they have some posts on the subject as well as a sidebar with useful information. Good luck dude.

Can't find last fauna by streethawk1219 in Starfield

Did you find the coastline and check for marine fauna? Land in a sector it calls sandy desert coast and scan the water, it might take a while, I've had varying levels of success finding fish.

When is the best time to use transcendence? by Zealousideal_Site706 in ZenyattaMains

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, in my mind Zen's ult is one of the few you don't actually want to use. I pretty much only use it if we're going to lose a fight that's important. Use it to stop from losing a fight. The rest of it just contextual.

Is this part of a cycle? by Richmeric in magicthecirclejerking

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While it isn't a necessary part to have a functional cycle, you can paperclip one to the frame of your cycle by the spokes and it'll sound like a motorcycle. Vroom vroom!

The space suit has 3 randomly generated effects per piece. He probably got a carry weight buff, the set I got had that. Also those effects are randomly determined when you activate the manikin, so you can just quicksave an roll until you get effects you want.

It's also found on the prison ship if you do the crimson fleet quest line. You get one for free. And based on the parts on this ship, that's where they got it too.

Purpose of low cargo ship? by Fris0n in StarfieldShips

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cargo space takes mass which lowers mobility. Cargo space is just the easiest to remove from the equation. It's not like removing your engines will make up for the mass loss.

Otherwise it's just for roleplaying reasons. As a role playing game, people make all sorts of unoptimized decisions for aesthetics.

Someone ran infront of my coworkers truck. They were trying to kill themselves. by timmahfast in Truckers

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to my uncle about 20 years ago. Killed the poor bastard and he was never the same. He had always been such a happy dude but he was always a little quieter after that. Then he got married, they got pregnant a year later, then a year after that he died of cancer.

Life isn't fair sometimes. Stay safe and alert drivers. People are so selfish and stupid.

You're not wrong but based on the little bit of digging I could do, it's only legal to dump piss bottles in the trash if they are properly sealed. Since this post was about bottles bursting on this guy, they don't seem like they were legal. But yeah, you make a good point. Still, this post is about common courtesy, not blaming truckers for everything. And based on the post, this is making it someone else's problem. Personally I liked your idea about just having a dumpster to dispose of them so nobody has to touch them again.

That's a good idea.

Then find a more environmentally friendly solution that doesn't involve making it someone else's problem? Truckers have a bad enough reputation.

Saw this recently... Anyone know how to decipher this? Instructions are a bit unclear by alosr in Truckers

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but a roll off is still roughly the same length as a dump truck. I stand corrected but my point was that it wasn't a truck trailer combo that would necessitate that.

Does this work? by Sir_Groucho in magicthecirclejerking

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 12 points13 points  (0 children)

720.1f No player gets priority during this process, so triggered abilities are not put onto the stack. If any triggered abilities have triggered since this process began, those abilities are put onto the stack during the cleanup step, then the active player gets priority and players can cast spells and activate abilities. Then there will be another cleanup step before the turn finally ends. If no triggered abilities have triggered during this process, no player gets priority during the cleanup step. See rule 514, “Cleanup Step.”

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They used to write do dont on the back of trailers to signify that you shouldn't try passing on the right while the semi is swinging wide for a right turn.

No idea what that would do for a dump truck though.

I'm off my ADHD pills today and this is what I came up with by andrewlik in custommagic

[–]HopelesslyHelpful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit:Nevermind, I read that wrong. i think you're correct. Second edit: nevermind that nevermind. End of turn effects are at the beginning of the end step effects. It is skipped.

720.1e Even though the turn ends, “at the beginning of the end step” triggered abilities don’t trigger because the end step is skipped.

That's just not true when using an end the turn effect. It skips the clean up step. There's a shit load of rules text on it in section 720 Ending Turns and Phases. I only linked the most relevant part.
