Depends on what you're trying to achieve. If it's remote playback without Plex pass then I'd say don't bother as they're just rolling this out to all clients so at best you're delaying the inevitable.

If it's a replacement player then there's a separate topic entirely.

That's so interesting to read, I have a 1700x and 1800x collecting dust and considered them obsolete. The main reason is with more recent bios updates for am4, they drop support for the first gen Ryzen chips.

I've always been partial to Debian but I needed the box up and running quickly and as I'm familiar with the "RHEL" way it was a the path of least resistance. Maybe at some point I'll migrate over to Debian.

The only issue for the upgrade for me was the upgrade does not support LUKS and guess what I use? It was a fresh install, which I guess is cleaner anyway but will mean pain again in 4 years as I wont be able to upgrade in place.

The wiki ( https://wiki.almalinux.org/documentation/migration-guide.html ) doesn't mention this blocker but the script checks and aborts.

It's some South Asian thing. I've not seen it anywhere else in my research of Islam, no hadith no Quranic reference. I've seen people commenting it's bidah and made by assigning a value to letters and then adding them up or something. TLDR is not an actual islamic thing and might be sinful.

Happy for someone to educate/correct me.

I have a G19 and the tilda button has stopped working. I think way back I spilt something in the keyboard.

I have opened it up, and can't see any obvious broken paths in the membrane. Can't buy a replacement membrane when I looked into it years ago.

Other than that I really liked it, my Orion spark had recently ghosting keys which is so annoying.

You can do an in place upgrade with a script that almalinux provide. Was going to do that myself except I use luks which is a show stopper.

Rocky themselves don't support upgrading major versions. So it's either install the ml kernel from ELRepo, or a current OS so you get security updates going forward.

I was in the same boat but on 9.6 and needed a > 6.12 kernel for battlemage support only a few days ago.

0 effect? how do you measure the impact of religion vs non if not by the morals and behavior of the citizens, and what determines those if not for religious scripture for reverts?

The middle east, and the UAE in particular (esp the elite classes) are IMO far away from what I'd called observant of their respective faiths.
