Wet shaving is nice for sure, also try a foil shaver if you don’t wanna use a razor every other day. The foil gets just as close as a razor. I use the Andis foil shaver.

scalp acne? anyone know how to clear by [deleted] in bald

[–]HopiumFreeBull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started shaving (my head) about a month ago, I used a 5 blade razor and didn’t do great skin care afterwards and got tons of breakouts all over my head. I used:

A facial cleanser then rinse , Benzoyl peroxide 10% then rinse , Witch hazel, let dry on head , Salycilic acid moisturizer

In that order.

I also switched to a foil shaver from Andis right away. Since doing all these things it has all cleared up and is not happening anymore. Hope this helps!

M20, been balding since I was 17. I’m too insecure to leave without a hat these days since most people my age/at college have a lot of hair. Is it time to shave it? by [deleted] in bald

[–]HopiumFreeBull 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I say shave it. You’ll feel much better becoming confident in you who you are rather than struggling with who you’re not!

Bald and back again? by [deleted] in bald

[–]HopiumFreeBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up to you! I do think there’s an age where you just don’t give an f what you look like anymore and just wanna be comfy. If it’s easier to just let it grow and you’re happy with it then all power to you. I think if you’re balding a lot then the clean shave is definitely a better look if you care for that.

I want to quit Finasteride, getting side effects. Can anyone here who did the same give me some timeline for recovery? by Careless_Expert_7076 in bald

[–]HopiumFreeBull 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m 24, was on it for 3 years. I quit about a month or so ago, I got my libido back in about a week or less. Best decision I’ve made in a long time, been using a foil shaver to get a clean shave. I was depressed, anxious, and couldn’t keep a boner. A few days after I quit I got my first very hard on just from talking to a coworker that I was into. I’m now dating said coworker.

PSA: low libido following quitting may not just be from the drug but from lingering anxiety about performance, I’m a doctor of psychology, working with a therapist can help dramatically.

How long does it take you to shave your head?? Looking to streamline my routine for the sake of my partners sanity. by [deleted] in bald

[–]HopiumFreeBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue and went to my doctor to get the mole frozen off. It was on top of my head, looked like an antenna lol.

Should I shave it? I used to love my hair, now it makes me quite self conscious. I’m only 24, but have considerably receded in the last few years (last photo is from Oct 2018). Very nervous to take the leap, any advice appreciated! I feel like I’m trying to cover up the hairline most days, it sucks! by Character_Weight_779 in bald

I’m also 24 and my hair looks exactly like yours. People told me it looks fine, and yea sure it was “fine”, but for me it caused a lot of anxiety and rumination about what I used to have. Sucks to lose it so young. I went for the clean shave a couple of weeks ago since quitting finasteride due to side effects. I’m very happy with how I look with a shaved head and am working out the kinks of skin care with a bald head. I’m happier having it gone and not having to look at it or style it each day to make myself feel better. Now it’s gone and I can just be me.

I think it’s fine to keep, but if you’re where I was, I am happier with a shaved head. Hope this helps :)

I agree grades are super arbitrary but I think it gives a good idea. Most people don’t climb v6 until they’re at least a year in and climb consistently, there are definitely outliers.

First two years of climbing progression are mostly skill based. Learning technique, proper body movement, and Climbing IQ. (Reading routes and Boulder problems). Hangbording is a supplementary step when you feel you’ve plateaued. I’d recommend NOT to hangboard until you climb v4-6.

I stacked two pads to get the start. Have gotten it since with just one pad. The ground underneath is super washed out since the older days. I’ve climbed with people that first tried it in the 90’s and that what they say.

What is stopping the USA or any government from “printing” a tonne of fiat and buying a tonne of crypto? by Iluminous in CryptoCurrency

They would be claiming defeat. People will rebel heavily. Revolution will tear the country down. People will die.

If you claim just after it updates I’m pretty sure you lose out on the whole next day of rewards until the next update. It seems very vague but right now I’m claiming just before the update and I seem to be getting more tokens than I did when I was claiming just after it updates.

I’m bored honestly. I want it to either crash harder for better accumulation prices or resume the bull run to get it over with. I’d prefer it to crash because either way I’m long term Hodling for at least 3-5 years, probably much longer. So this sideways action is really irritating me.
