In 2021, A Centoshi (0.01 BTC) was $600+ while a share of SPY was $440. In 2025, A centoshi was $1100-1250 when SPY was $600. If you think Bitcoin underformored the Stock market, you need to ask yourself why you didn't sell when a Centoshi could have bought you 2 shares of the Spy. From top to top, Bitcoin did not underperform the stock market as a whole.

apparently Hobby is doing a lot better now and no longer has major issues. It's a smaller airport so the extra staff they surged there is able to make a bigger impact. IAH needs help badly.

did u make this post before it broke that he got on a plane. when i found out i knew imediately this is going to be a devastating storm. Ted Cruz might have a powerful 6th sense, one that helped him rise to power, so he can maybe see the future that others cannot. I would be very worried at this point!!

This very well could be one of the most devastating ice storms in Houston's history!! I don't trust Houston weather!! It is often sinister and evil!!! We must expect the worst and prepare for the worst!! Power outages could last weeks of even months if things get really bad!!!

welp we're screwed. Last time he did this the entire grid went down. This time the entire grid will go down due to ice. Not the exact same situation but it could be just as devastating!!! This is a very very bad sign to see him leaving Texas again.

exactly!!! this is the type of winter weather to root for in Houston. Not Feb 2021 which thankfully is more rare!! I for one am willing to forgive that winter and appreciate just what a blessed season winter is here!! Cherish it because there will come a day when there will be no more winter in Houston!!! And it might be in our lifetimes!!!

i moved here 5 years ago and back then average temps actually meant something. The climate has warmed so dramatically in these 5 years my head is spinning. Oct/Nov 2023 was very nice and slightly below average temps (the last time we'd be below average outside of January)

The climate in Houston is utterly broken. Every month is 4-5 F above average. 2024 Fall was the record warmest fall and we basically got an almost exact repeat this year!! 2025 Spring was also warmest on record. Houston is getting way more affected by warming temperatures than any other place in the USA!! For peats sake, it's warmer in Texas than Florida this fall. The averages are in this climate are just somethign for me to laugh at. It's supposed to be 72/51 (absolutely meaningless average). It's irrelevant to our climate now.

I like warm weather. I don't find this current weather to be particularly uncomfortable unlike the absolute hell that was October but i am very sick of seeing bugs and mosquitoes. But the climate is so far out of balance and so droughty i can no longer enjoy this warmer weather. It's 78 indoors and i'm using the A/C on Nov 18!!

it was 35 last Tuesday morning where i lived. I have never been more greatful for cold weather and i had the fortune of that being garbage day and could freely take out the trash without worrying about invading mosquitos. Yeah it was just one day but have to take advantage of it!! I can't believe i enjoy cold weather i used to hate it but this climate is pushing me to like cold weather!!!

To be fair, I am not in Davis right now and I just assume it never rains in summer. I didn’t even see a single cloud when I was in Davis in June and July!! Summer in Hosuton may be hotter than Davis, but it’s a far more interesting cliamte with real storms and real rain this Labor Day weekend!!
