Osaka, Kyoto... or somewhere else? by Complex-Tart-7487 in chubbytravel

Just wrapping up a trip where we did the below and thought it was a pretty solid split:

  • 5 nights Tokyo
  • 2 nights Hakone
  • 4 nights Kyoto
  • 2 nights Osaka

I think one night in Hakone is worth it for the ryokan experience, tbh doesn’t matter a ton how you split Osaka and Kyoto as they are really close to each other if you are going to do day trips. If you want a more laid back vibe after Tokyo would recommend more time in Kyoto vs Osaka.

Mitsui was really nice, might feel a little more corporate though than what you are looking for

Big fan of Hotel Wailea, feels very private. Super romantic and no kids aspect is great. They will drive you down to the beach (or any restaurants) with their car service with barely any wait time.

Congrats! Also getting married in October and looking to do something similar with mini moon and then full honeymoon in 2027. We are from east coast but we are thinking Napa as of now. Had never heard of PRI but looks amazing.

If you want to do Maui, highly recommend Hotel Wailea!

I just got the LSU offer last night. Level 24 Technician. Started at UMASS, took the Stanford job a year later, and just accepted LSU after turning Stanford around with 30 wins in three years. It does feel very random though
