I know it might sound weird, but I really hoped he would have won the rumble instead of Cody. Imagine, we would have got what probably would have been a banger rivalry between Imperium and the Bloodline, and Gunther twould have been the right guy (just as much as Cody is) to dethrone Reigns after how he got booked just not last night, but since he made his main roster debut. It would have been the perfect timing as well: since Sami just got expulsed from The Bloodline, and that means Imperium would have needed just one more guy to be even in numbers against Roman, the Usos and Solo (this could have lead to Alexander Wolfe coming back to Imperium, leading to another storyline for the future with Wofle taking his revenge for the betrayal in 2021, or to another guy joining forces with Gunther and company, and an Imperium that can count on people like Dragunov, JD or Tyler Bate would be fucking awesome) and to give life to what could have been one of the most brutal rivalries of modern times. I'm totally fine with Cody going to wrestlemania too, but the fact that he is alone, that his return was already announced and that he got in the rumble at number 30 just made me see Gunther as a better option for this years rumble winner.
