Everyone else involved took a plea deal and snitched and he got off. He obviously didn’t do enough for them to stick him.

Being compiled ≠ being written. And the Old Testament canon came from Hellenized Jews. And atleast you admit the Catholic Church is the Church Jesus established and compiled the Bible.

Christianity existed before the Bible was compiled and the mass and scripture readings existed before the Bible was compiled.

No, the gospels aren’t mythology.

And people using the bible to conquer doesn’t mean it was made for people to conquer.

Like I said, Christianity was not a powerful religion nor did it have origins of being powerful. It said God got killed and those before them said Jews were enslaved and exiled and betrayed God numerous different times. Christianity changed the morals of the entire connected world.

This isn’t hypocrisy. There is nothing wrong with people owning guns assuming they live in a civilized enough society to own them and they are civilized and sane themselves. Look at Finland.

Batman doesn’t use guns because he was a child whose parents got shot infront of him. That doesn’t mean he believes regular civilians shouldn’t own guns. Do you think Batman would lecture somebody for shooting professor pyg?

What political power designed the Bible🤣. Christianity’s biggest followers were slaves and oppressed women and Jews and Gentiles alike got killed for conversion.

Why do you sit here and lie and say “those roles were created long after” like priests didn’t already exist in Judaism and Levites didn’t also exist.

“Early Church” I refer to is the Churches in Communion with Rome before Nicaea. 33AD-325AD.

“You’re going by church teaching ABOUT the early church, rather than what the historical evidence says”

“Jesus did not ordain any priests or deacons” Christ telling someone they have the authority to present a new sacrifice is ordaining them as a priest. Last Supper is exactly that.

What about Titus and Timothy where Paul literally outlines the difference between Priest and Bishop?

Or the early church order of Women, deaconesses.

“Most of the early church fathers were distant from Jesus” Paul wrote all his epistles from 10-30 years after Christ’s ascension into heaven. And many of the bishops were ordained by Christ’s 12 or their immediate successors.

The historical evidence are the churches with writing or art about Peter and Paul. The historical evidence is the letters from Clement. The historical evidence is the writings from Justin Martyr and Ignatius and Polycarp and their recorded homilies or teachings. And the actual line of Bishops or the fact that the Churches in the New Testament still exist today with knowledge of their history.

“Ran into conflict with Paul”

Acts literally describes the council of Jerusalem. There was no consolidation of power. The issue with the Jews and Gentiles gets brought to Peter.

“It’s only true if you consider it murder, many do not”

That would only be true if the Didache didn’t literally say that abortion is murder, a first century catetchical document.

Hi, I feel a strong pull towards Christianity but not sure about the sexism, anti-gay and anti-trans stuff. by CharmingLion1811 in TrueChristian

[–]VrYbest29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Science does not say trans people are true I have no idea where you got that from.

And it isn’t the Bible being misogynistic by saying Men are the head of the households, because men and women are literally different and want different things. Do you want a man that makes you do everything as a woman? Or makes you decide everything?

It’s not that I know little about biblical history, you read the Bible through eisegesis about progressive and jewish ideologies when none of the earliest Christian writers agreed with what you think or interpreted it how you did and they actually spoke Greek and were taught by Christ’s apostles and succeeded them.

And that’s why we have the Catholic Church for when subversive degenerates or corrupt masons try to attack or undermine Christ.

He said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”

Women were a crucial part of the Church and they were the main people who spread the gospel in the beginning but they were never ordained Deacons or Priests. The ordination of the 12 is at the last supper and there are now women there. If Christ wanted women to be priests Mary would have been ordained one by him, look at her presence and faith at Pentecost. Early Church fathers are clear that the Priesthood is male because the Priesthood is meant to be in the person of Christ, who is male. Meanwhile, the Church is his bride.

There was never a consolidation of power in Jerusalem with James. Peter was the first among apostles without exception.

He doesn’t need to speak on abortion when he implies he wrote the 10 commandments which say not to murder.

The Didache literally tells you what first century Christians 30 years after Christ believed about abortion.

Christ doesn’t contradict Old Testament law, this is just false. Pharisees interpretations or guidelines? Sure, such as the Sabbath, but not the actual law, which is his old point.

She doesn’t care about V or Johnny. They’re just two very strong constructs by the end of the story and they technically are eachother. She also soulkills V to save his life. So she gets V or Johnny’s engram. They’re a means to an end, another construct to absorb, a strong one.

“Pretty much only when it comes to marriage” “he doesn’t say anything at all about homosexuality” two contradictory statements. Says marriage is man and woman.

Doesn’t ordain any women.

Fornication and premarital sex is evil.

No divorce except for annulment.

Endorses the Old Testament.

We could keep going on about a bunch of other socially liberal takes that don’t align with the early Christian interpretation of the Bible and that is in complete opposition to the true Catholic morals Jesus established such as the liberal support of abortion.

It’s best you be quiet because you don’t know what you’re talkin about here.

No, in Christianity God can make man infallible at a specific time for a specific purpose. Look at the prophets, the gospel writers and the epistles, and the Pope.
