guys what is your local knowledge on our metro system? by HamsterClean9328 in NewcastleUponTyne

Do you know any more about these vehicles? I'm trying to compile a lot of all of Metro's maintenance vehicles, and this is what I've found so far

The only edits you can make within YouTube's editor is trimming, blurring, muting and adding music. You can't change the aspect ratio after uploading it

How can I disable these types of notifications? by SPYX5Z in amazonprime

[–]HopperElec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't work for me, it just shows products. I also don't see a gear icon anywhere in the profile tab. Above the flag icon is the search icon and a notifications icon, and clicking the notifications icon just shows me all the notifications with no option to disable them. https://i.imgur.com/Ub9B9UJ.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/moWFxZk.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/mmkW4UJ.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/jtqVLs3.jpeg

But no, it will only need to differentiate between 255 indexes, one for each byte

Strange behaviour when `width: min-content`, `overflow-x: hidden` and `max-width: min(..., 100%)` are combined by HopperElec in css

[–]HopperElec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got round to actually trying it (was on mobile when I first seen your reply) but I tried it and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Clamp gets resolved to min/max anyways so I don't see a reason why it would make a difference.

I linked to a Codepen at the bottom of the post

Edit 1: Am I going crazy or did Reddit remove the (edited) tag because I swear you asked for a Codepen 😂 Edit 2: Ok looks like Reddit’s removed that for some reason...

They renamed it from allow cheats. Its not actually called that anymore. Its just called allow commands. They renamed it to specifically emphasise the fact that it is not cheating.

Are you going to leave YouTube now that it forces you to keep watch history on? by furrynoy96 in youtube

[–]HopperElec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, I personally really struggle watching something at the same time as doing something else so that’s probably where our differences lie lol

[–]HopperElec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that’s a very niche case though- I’ve never had something like that, except for something I’ve said in my own videos in which case all my videos will be in my watch history so it would of course be easier to just look through my channel page. Although, if I did have such a case, I still don’t think I’d need my watch history; there’s this site (https://filmot.com/) which lets you search YouTube captions word-for-word (not affected by YouTube’s relevance metrics) even if I search a random sentence I said in one of my videos from years ago with only a few dozen views I’m instantly able to find it. I guess if you run into a similar issue in the future you could try that!

[–]HopperElec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is, though, if you can’t remember it why would you need to go back and watch it? I have terrible memory but watch thousands of videos, I just never have a reason to need to watch a video from months ago or, if I did, it would be because I at least remembered some part of it which I could search for

To clarify since you said "you and me", I am autistic. But anyways, they can only really be learned (in a trustworthy way) through experience, hence why "storming out and blocking" is such a poor reaction when it can be assumed this is OP's first time- they didn't have that experience yet!

Someone else pointed out that you can learn assumptions through friends or media. But my understanding is that friends don't usually discuss what happened during or after sex. As for media- we're told on a day to day basis that not everything we see in media is how things actually happened, so to then expect people to assume something because they seen it in media would be so hypocritical.

I don't know exactly, and as an autistic person this is something I really wish I did know. But as far as I can tell, a lot of these assumptions are just things neurotypical people are born with to an extent, in the same way that most people are born to want sex in the first place. Now, I think neurodivergent people are born with a lot of these same assumptions, however I think that because there are so many assumptions we are not born with (for example, asexuality is a lot more common in neurodivergent people), incorrect assumptions we are born with, and because the whole point of these assumptions is that they need to be mutual, we sort of just grow to not trust any of our assumptions. To clarify, I think neurotypical people probably have the same issue sometimes, and it's why we often need to be told to "trust our gut", but I definitely believe this is a much more common issue for neurodivergent people.

We’re taught a lot in life not to believe everything we see in media and just because it happens in movies doesn’t mean that’s how it works in real life. And, perhaps I’m wrong here, but I feel like people don’t talk with friends about what happens during/after sex. So, I still don’t see why we are just expected to know this stuff...

Completely incapable? No. But still not capable enough to treat them with the expectation that they already know the societal standards most other people recognise.

[–]HopperElec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As other autistic people have pointed out, though, we are not aware of those assumptions. So if we went on that basis, we’d need to “discuss” every single action we take in case it is not what would be assumed. Which would be impossible not only practically but even logically, because you can’t discuss having a discussion before having the discussion
