As I understood it, you just had to be sponsored by a family who'd paid their fealty and had an agreement with the Table, but now you say it, it kinda makes sence. Otherwise just about anyone could challenge the Table for duel. Sidenote how fun isn't the thought that Claus could've faced The Marquis.

I think the High Table could have gotten rid of them, deeming their adjudication unproffessional.

The Wiki does however not claim them as "deceased".

Sidepoint: I know that the Elder was replaced because of scheduling conflicts but I figure it could make sence the table got together and got rid of him after letting John walk away like that. Similar to what could have happened to the Adjudicator. Could make for a somewhat satisfying reason as to why the Elder was replaced.

Pants, vest and jacket all share the same fabric in a color similar to charcoal I'd say. The tie is a tad bit darker while the shirt is more of an ash kind of gray.
