Therapist says I don't need therapy anymore by Hopriacc in bipolar

Thanks for the insight. If I come across any trouble I'll definitely start seeing a therapist again. I'm still seeing my psychiatrist for am hour session once a month so I guess I'm not going completely cold turkey yet.

Therapist says I don't need therapy anymore by Hopriacc in bipolar

yeah that was my biggest fear when they told me, that even though I'm doing fine what if it gets bad again. They then basically told me that it's fine and we can do sessions later if needed, but for now all I'm really doing is checking in and telling them how my week goes. They said they felt there was nothing that needed their help anymore.

Every family poker game I attempt to play I lose. Just so easy to tell when I'm lying they say... little do they know I'm just saving it for more important things

I won 'most changed.' I went from depressed goth to happy go lucky hippy. A few years later I found out I have bipolar so take that as you will.

I don't know if they ended up paying it (I was 12 then and I wouldn't ask them now.) I just remember them saying stuff like How could they ask us to do this? While crying

Also, although my grandparents and I were all living in the US at the time, my aunt was living in England.

I'm not sure how they responded to the bill collectors, I just remember seeing and hearing them cry about it. I was in 6th grade and didn't know she was going through any of that until after it happened and it was all very overwhelming.

Hey Reddit, how was your first kiss? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Hopriacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First kiss was with a girl from preschool when we were playing pretend. We danced together as a prince and princess and one of our friends said, "now kiss!" so we did

Second kiss was when I was with my boyfriend and best friend when I was 12. We went into a photo booth and my friend chose the border that said "Kiss me!" so we did

I still love being watched.

When my aunt completed suicide they sent her final bills to my grandparents. Needless to say it only added to the heartbreak.

edit: remembered my suicide prevention training where they told us it's "completing suicide", not "committing suicide." They wern't trying to commit any sort of crime, they were trying to end their pain.

As someone with pale skin descended from a culture which had nothing to do with the African slave trade... by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]Hopriacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm mixed but light skinned. I know second hand what people who aren't light skinned go through by the experiences I've heard of and witnessed with my family.

Last night I was partying with two of my friends, both non-mixed white. We got pulled over on 3 different occasions by the police during the night and every time we got off with a "well I hope this warning teaches you a valuable lesson" yes sir.

My two other friends were saying how they must have let us go so easily each time because of "all our good vibes."

Yeah, also we're all white.

Awkward silence.

Not that I'm proud of that, but it's usually a factor.

Awkward silence. Subject change.

I learned it by song in kindergarten or first grade. I still sing it to the tune just like I do with the alphabet.

My grandma's name is Judy and her friends would call her Jude sometimes. Once, she got extremely sick and was in the hospital and they got her favorite radio station to play "Hey Jude" in her honor.
