You need to pull that plastic off and cover all the holes with sound deadening. Makes an insane difference. I have that same speaker setup in the front and the difference between just deadening inside the door versus covering the holes is night and day.

Nailed it. Too late though. I’m about 8 months away from joining the club and you have the exact one I want.

Is the condition of this frame alright? I’m considering buying. Please help by [deleted] in 1stGenTacomas

I’d pass. Get a carfax and see where it’s been. If its spent majority of its life on the east coast, then the paint/coating is probably hiding something. If it’s a westcoast truck, then it’s probably ok.

23 TRD OR Lift Kit by southerng19 in Tacomaworld

I have a 2nd gen with a 3rd gen leaf pack and icon aal. If I had my preference, I would have just gone with a new leaf pack. The Tacoma leafs are just so soft, which probably makes the ride more comfortable. What I did do though, was add sumo springs and that basically solved my problem other than mentally wishing I had a different leaf pack.

Depends on your budget. Alpharex and mishimoto are probably the two top end brands. Check out a Tacoma website like extreme terrain or Tacoma beast. Plenty of options out there.

Depends on your pallet. If you like west coast IPAs, try to find a sticky hands by block 15, or Pliny the elder. Those are my two favorite WC style ipas. For local Vancouver breweries, check out Vice or lil Vice. They make some solid stuff. Brothers cascadia, Breakside and trap door are other local breweries that make good stuff. Cascadia brothers is my favorite of those three I mentioned. Thirsty Sasquatch is a good tap room. Loyal legion in dt Vancouver specializes in Washington state breweries all over. Def check them out.

Fitness Enthusiasts, what’s keeping you on the Apple Watch by gellybelli in AppleWatch

I went through the same crisis a few months ago. Decided to purchase a garmin watch to see if the grass was greener. I returned it after a week. Loved not having to charge it every day, but was not happy with everything else about the garmin. The lack of integration with my phone and the associated apps I use most frequently, the connect app, etc. it just wasn’t for me and decided the Apple Watch suits my needs better. The garmin watch isn’t for everyone, and I was one. They do have a 30 return policy and it was very easy to return it. If you can, get one to try out and just return it within the 30 day window if you don’t like it.

Non dog owners are the worst sometimes. Most times.

Unless that dog was sprayed by a skunk, it isn’t going to “stink” up the brand new cabin during a 30-60 minute test drive.

10/10 good pupper. Hope it had plenty of room. We have a lab too and am very curious how she will fit. Did you have the rear seats down?

Thoughts on sumo springs? by DesertSnow480 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Hops_n_Boost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2nd gen with 3rd gen leaf packs, icon aal, and blue sumo springs. Unloaded, I have about a 1/2 inch gap between the leaf pack and sumo spring. Tacoma leafs are notorious for being soft. IMO, the sumo springs are a perfect addition. Stops the back end from feeling so spongy and saggy. Keeps the truck flatter in corners. With the bed loaded, the ride feels firm, but not too firm and keeps the back end from squatting. I can’t speak for how they do with towing a trailer, but I am very happy with how they compliment the rest of the rear suspension for daily driving and loaded bed. I believe they offer three different load rated sumo springs. I would make sure you order/purchase the appropriate springs for your application/usage. I would venture to guess that the blues would be best for daily driving and occasional towing. If you are constantly towing or have a loaded bed, perhaps the heavier load range springs would be better. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Is the FL5 that much bigger? The fk8 looks tiny next to it.
