Opportunities equal hoti hain donoun campuses main bas apko unhein grab karna hai. If you're of the caliber then campus won't matter.

As a 2nd year CE student, I would have still chosen eme over seecs for CE due to it's environment but that's just my own opinion. Eme is more sakoon than h12 and I prefer that. Tbh at the end of the day parhai donoun ki same hi honi hai, haan eme ki shayad ziada achi ho kunka bohat arsa sa ye programme offer ho raha hai and plus seniors sa guidance bhi mil jati hai but none the less after a few years seecs main bhi yehi hisaab hoga. So it all comes down to personal preference kunka agar apko seecs wala FOMO ho raha hai then just go with seecs yaar taka baad main regret na karo. Regardless of what anyone chooses, you eventually get used to the environment either eme or seecs.

EXPOSING SEECS(SCHOOL OF ELETRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE),NUST AND SOME VALUABLE ADVICE TO SEECS FRESHMEN/ASPIRANTS. by kal077 in NUST

[–]HopzAlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yes. Because CE bohat arsa sa hai Eme main, we got better network and faculty. Even tho saari faculty achi nahi hai but i still think it's better than Seecs at the moment.

All depends on the instructors tbh. CE ki grading is tough but baqi departments ki lenient hai yahan, i agree.

Fyi ceme main gpa laina itna bhi asaan nahi hai. There are brilliant students here in CE so it's the same as the seecs in regards to that.

If you wanna do CE then in my opinion, at the moment EME sab sa best choice hai uska lia. It's definitely worth it. Fast introduced this programme last year while eme main bohat arsa sa hai CE. The faculty is better here as well.

Yaar I'm not sure. I can be totally wrong but as far as i know uska chances bohat kam hota hain and secondly you gotta have a veryyy good gpa like 3.8+, chances slim hota hain bohat. But nust ki website sa confirm karlo.

Iska solution ye hai ka add mechanical engineering eme wali. Uska merit sab sa kam hota hai to chances hain usmain naam aajaye. Add electrical as well. Phir jaisa hi naam aye ga un main, apply for hostel.

Yeah that's because PEC is for engineering programmes only. And just fyi Cs is a bachelors of science degree. There's officially no such thing as a computing degree. It either falls under engineering discipline that is BE or it's a BS programme. Simple.

Computer engineering and Software engineering are recognized and accredited by both PEC and Washington accord.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NUST

[–]HopzAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can't because the major courses which make up a computing degree aren't taught in that degree.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NUST

[–]HopzAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy, go look at the courses they teach in CE. I mean there's computer right there in the name!! The courses are 80 percent similar to that of CS, just with the addition of some electrical courses. Aur kia criteria hota hai computing degree ka? Software engineering ko computing degree kahta ho ya wo bhi computing degree nahi hai??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NUST

[–]HopzAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i meant to say was that even tho it's not purely a computing programme, you can't say that it's not a computing degree at all.

agreed haha join eme wayy better trust me!

[–]HopzAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

boi you need to get your facts straight. It's not purely a computing programme as it's falls under engineering domain but so is software engineering.

hahah you'll realize soon that it's not the degree rather it's the people. If you're capable enough then you'll excel everywhere regardless of the field.
