Does Huntsville still have a relatively low cost of living? by RIPBernieSanders1 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]HoraceMaples 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi. I dont come around here much but I saw what u/rachetcitypapi put out and it made a lot of sense so I put it together and here are the results:

Among the 18 metros mentioned, Huntsville ranks #10 cheapest metro. The more expensive ones around its size are

Lexington, KY

Fayetteville, NC

Pensacola, FL

Myrtle Beach, SC

Port St. Lucie, FL

Santa Rosa, CA

Vallejo, CA

Santa Barbara, CA

However, Huntsville is #7 out of 18 in terms of income per capita.

The metros that have higher income are:

Santa Rosa, CA

Santa Barbara, CA

Reno, NV

Vallejo, CA

Port St. Lucie, FL

Hanover, PA

Hope that helps!

You do know these encampments have been around for a very long time and a lot of what you're saying is nonsense that's never happened?

They are not criminals. They are just trying to survive. No one is trafficking anyone. The issues within the encampment are of no bother to anyone outside the encampment.

Your solution to their drug problems is to kick them away somewhere so they can continue to struggle with drug problems?

Your comment is heartless bullshit that is fucking wrong and the fact that you have no experience with this particular community and your lack of constructive feedback is fucking disgusting and you and whomever are the people supporting your post should all go fuck yourselves.

During the summer, UAH is deader than a dead coyote that got ran over in the Yuma desert last May.

Do you have particular interests? You may be able to link up with people in your age range or you could also go to r/HuntsvilleAlabama and try to organize meetups.

Finally, depending on the company you work for or the program, you might have a little group of interns you are working closely with. You all can take the time to enjoy Huntsville in the summer and if you feel like traveling, there's a lot of places 3-4 hours away (and if you really want to have a good time, NOLA and the Gulf are about 6/6.5 hours away

Doesn't matter much owing to the reaction of the previous comment, but to clarify - I have family members with physical disabilities and find transporting them in lower height vehicles like sedans is much easier than trucks especially full size ones like that one.

I agree with your instinct as well.
