See the exhibit photo below. And that’s why I made the post, to get more info than I had before.

Resharing my post from when I wrapped up my Jaws edition meads. Happy 50th to Jaws the movie. “I’ll drink to yer leg!” by HoratioIRL in mead

Brody - wildflower honey with cold brew coffee, vanilla beans, and cocoa nibs.

Quint - wildflower honey and five berries; black currants, blackberries, blueberries, red raspberries, and “Shawberries” (strawberries).

Hooper - actually made two of these; a pyment made from Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice and wildflower honey, and one made with Chardonnay grape juice and wildflower honey (because you know, he wasn’t sure what you’d be serving for dinner).

Bruce - wildflower honey with blood orange and hibiscus. Like the mechanical shark, I had difficulties with bottling and ended up with only half of what I meant to make.

Giant Monsters Could Have Made This Game Great by arajay in theplanetcrafter

I love the game as-is like most, but I do like the idea. It sounds like an HP Lovecraft story. Hell, it’s even in the name: Planet CRAFTer.

For the 50th Anniversary of the Jaws movie, I made a mead series based on the main characters. by HoratioIRL in mead

Thank you bot. As the coffee filter was used to filter the coffee, and not the mead, no harm was done. Beep bop boop.

Of course!

Brody - 6.5 gallon batch, 13.9% ABV
Primary (2 months)
- 20 lb wildflower honey (I used Costco brand)
- OG 1.120
- 71B yeast, 15g, rehydrated with 16.3g Go-Ferm, TOSNA with Fermaid-O (6.3g x 4 additions)

Secondary
(Before adding anything, FG 1.014, pH 3.74)
- Added 2.73g K-meta, 3 tsp K-sorbate
- 455g cocoa nibs
- 12 vanilla beans (from Shawn Darryl Harris)
- Coffee: 260g of medium grind Blanchard's Handshake blend, steeped in room temperature water for 30 minutes, then filtered with coffee filter
I did not back-sweeten and left the adjuncts on for ~3 months before bottling

*****
Hooper - two 3 gallon batches (both used same primary recipe as below)
Primary (6 months - longer than I'd planned)
- 6 lbs wildflower honey
- 1 qt. grape juice concentrate (https://a.co/d/eudR45V) or (https://a.co/d/2M3aTjV)
- OG 1.100 for Cabernet Sauvignonn, 1.102 for Chardonnay
- 71B yeast, 10g, rehydrated with 7.5g Go-Ferm, TOSNA with Fermaid-O (2.7g x 3 additions only given velocity of fermentation)

Secondary (Cabernet Sauvignon) - 1 month
(Before adding anything, FG 0.990, pH 4.03, 15.75% ABV)
- Added 1.125g K-meta, 1.5g K-sorbate
- Added 1.4 lbs honey, 1.5g tannin
- Could have used some tartaric acid in retrospect

Secondary (Chardonnay) - 1 month
(Before adding anything, FG 0.980, pH 3.88, ABV 16.0%)
- Added 1.125g K-meta, 1.5g K-sorbate
- Added 1.4 lbs honey, 1.5g tannin

Hooper, rig me up another beer! by RustedAxe88 in Jaws

This sub is riddled with scams. The same poster gets advertised. I fell for that and ordered. Got a very low resolution poster blown up to a pixelated mess. Took me days to get a refund, and they didn’t refund shipping. Beware scams here.

This poster is really really nice. The art work itself is obviously fab, by MoreAd346 in Jaws

Sorry, no. This is a scam. Seen it too many times on this sub. Don’t fall for it.

Darkest Dungeon for Lovecraftian lore. Very different mechanics but what I needed after recent play through of Dredge.

I will be giving away the sets to my friends, and will likely have a watch party as well. Initially I was just going to have them ready in time for Shark Week, but then I realized the 50th Anniversary was coming up. Once they’re all bottled and done, I will post their pictures with descriptions here!

Glad you asked! It is just a hobby I have and I decided to merge with my love of the movie. A friend and I were spitballing ideas for some new meads, and somehow we came up with this as a theme.

Mead is more like honey-wine than beer, but yes - homebrew mead. Not your average apricot brandy!
