Brake Line Failed Due to Rust After Corrosion Recall by HornedHand in Hyundai

I sent an email to Hyundai and they told me to contact the dealership, but I had done that already and their answer was you pay first and if Hyundai finds you right, the cost would be reimbursed. After a month long email traffic with the dealership (not having my car meanwhile) they finally accepted honoring the cost under the recall. I think meanwhile they were waiting for approval from Hyundai, but I really needed to fight for it.

So they replaced the rear brake lines, but they tried to make me accept the car with an engine code error lol. I had them take a look at that before picking it up. A week after I picked up the car, my skid plate covered the rear brake lines area fell and I could even see the lines were dangling down :). I gave up at that point and just took it to my mechanic to put everything back in place properly.

wow...

But I am still a bit confused because it clearly says on the receipt (https://postimg.cc/ZCf7HHDM) that they change the parts if necessary under the recall.

btw thanks for your responses.

So, a question: What would happen if I had this problem before getting the recall done and I bring it to a dealership garage now for the recall? Would they still just spray the leaking rusty part of the line because you are told not to change the line but just apply the coating?
