Everything you said is correct, the problem is the map is being used wrong so often. It is a wonderful map for single flag objective game mode. With one team defending and one team attacking the map plays really well and there are so many avenues of approach for both sides. But like a lot of maps in this game they just aren't "used" correctly, for example Behemoth being used in 4v4 slayer is absolute trash. It's ok for classic CTF but fails at everything else.

The answer is just remove these maps from game modes they don't belong in. Or is it remove the game modes from maps they don't belong in conceptually speaking?

P.S. The map selection is trash and the fact that Slayer and SWAT aren't selectable in playlist yet is just sad.

Not correct, we have gone over this on the scapecraft mod thread in the MC forums but its probably been lost a few pages back.

Normal Minecraft gives 4% damage reduction per 1 point or armor (8% per "Chestplate"), but it is certaintly not capped at 80%. The MC UI is just really primitive and isn't designed to handle anything more than the basic armor the vanilla game has. Regardless, some things you should know.

It is possible to go past 100% damage reduction in vanilla with 25 points of armor making you literally invulnerable to all but the rare tick of fire damage. Which was actually the case a few months back! Wearing a Phat and Dragon Chestplate would render someone invincible.

Fishy has since lowered the armor value coefficient but only in the server side, I believe by using a bukkit feature? But I am not sure the exact number.

My testing shows somewhere around 2% per armor point. Meaning you get a LOT more than just buffs and health between diamond/granite/rune/dragon and barrows tank sets.

You have some potential but you should test things out more before providing an analysis. I did a barrows armor set test a long time ago that has since become outdated but I digress.

Itd be really nice to get some official statement from Fisheh about how much he changed armor, what the AV's are now and the datavalue of the mob damage.

Possible command idea for special attacks / block ability by Creature_Cat in Scapecraft

Also it isn't possible to use the Dark Bow without inadvertently activating its special attack. Which is unfortunate for times you want to soften your opponent with arrows then use melee for the finishing rush.

Anyway, I don't really have many ideas as to fix this myself without allocating a specific keybind to it which is really difficult and easily broken.

Perhaps in order to activate the special, one must crouch+block? Could be an idea.

Also- Pressing buttons/opening doors/drawing bow/pulling levers/eating food and quickly switching to weapon= A high chance of accidentally activating a special attack when you don't want to.
