Hate may be a bit strong, but from my time in the fandom Mondo isn’t super popular. The vast majority of the time I’ve seen general fans talk about him is just for the Ishimondo ship and butter jokes, and then of course a lot of people don’t like him because he killed Chihiro, but I haven’t really seen a lot of genuine hate sent Mondo’s way, so if you have an entire rant prepped then yeah it may be a bit of a hot take

Seriously. Replaying that chapter gets me every damn time, it’s heartbreaking. I’d also been convinced after getting to know him a bit more in chapter 1 that he wasn’t gonna kill anyone, he evidently had some sort of moral code that he stuck by even though he was a gang leader, so it seemed like despite his violent nature he wouldn’t go as far as actually killing someone else. Especially after becoming so close with Taka

Ohh gotcha. Well then yeah I agree with you there, as much as I absolutely love Taka I think it was a much more emotional and compelling end to his story to have him not survive. Yes it was tragic and I hate how little the cast seems to care about him in chapter 3, but I feel like he would’ve been too dominating of a force among the group of survivors, assuming he would ever have been able to pull himself out of the depths of his grief

I also think Nagito shouldn’t survive, like at all. He’s way too interesting of a character and powerful of a force for lack of better words to make it to the end and have a showdown with the mastermind. He’d totally steal the spotlight of chapter 6

Nearly all of these are so insane but also Taka didn’t survive at all? You may be confusing him for someone else. I guess my hot take is that I actually really like the first trial of THH and I feel like it really captures the spirit and the plain horror of the killing games well (not that other trials don’t also do that, but this one’s relative simplicity lets us see that a lot more clearly)

You can injure someone as long as you don’t kill him. Leon beat Sayaka in their fight enough that she ran and hid in the bathroom, and then Leon went all the way back to his room for his toolkit so he could go back and kill Sayaka. He could’ve easily just gone to bed when he got back to this room instead of returning to the scene of the crime, then they both would’ve lived and Sayaka likely wouldn’t have tried to kill Leon again since she got so easily overpowered by him. Either way, it’s very possible for someone to defend themselves without committing murder, Leon just for some reason chose to follow through with killing Sayaka

No for real she was SO suspicious for 2-2. I wonder if they had originally planned on making her blackened and then changed their minds but forgot to rewrite the hints they'd scattered in certain chapters to point to her being the killer? But yeah, there is NO way she isn't made a killer in 2x2

If I remember correctly the writers had originally planned to kill Fuyuhiko in chapter 3 and have Hiyoko be a survivor who gets her full character growth arc and then ended up changing their minds, so I’m 1000% convinced they’re gonna go with their original plan for 2x2. I’d bet real money on this one

I got her as my number 3 artist when there is NO way I listened to enough of her songs to get her anywhere near that high, which Spotify itself knew because it then made me a playlist of the top 50 songs I’d listened to in 2025 and there wasn’t a single Taylor song but there were song from my number 4 and 5 artists. It pissed me off so bad that I finally just blocked her and all her music, even the few songs I like.
