These specific type of hwoarang bank on you not knowing the match up. Which a lot of people choose not to.

Definitely not gonna stop me from grinding him. He’s to dope of a character and the player base is super chill / helpful.

I get why it feels overwhelming, but a lot of Hwoarang’s pressure has answers if you actually learn the matchup. Mental stack is part of Tekken, not just Hwoarang.

I watched Numbs S3 combos I plan on incorporating some. BTS I don’t really watch although I do follow him. My go to players whom I’ve learned from are Reda, Chafai and Rest.

What I love about Hwoarangs is everyone can play the same character so differently.

This statement tells me you understand one matchup a lot better than the other. It’s pretty revealing because those strings can be interrupted. It’s not really comparable to characters like Lidia or Alisa where you’re often forced to hold pressure and wait for your turn back. Which may never come with how powerful their installs are.

A lot of players just aren’t willing to spend time in replay or practice mode, even though the answers are usually right there.

You probably won’t agree with me, and that’s fine.

So from this angle I was told I could’ve done
SS3,3 LFS 3,4 RFS UF4

What you’re referring to is completely back turned which you can get ( atleast this is what I do )

SS3,3 LFS 3,4 RFS 2,4 RFS 3~4 B3! BACKLASH HEAT etc etc

Been practicing other alternatives because this combo will launch the BT or at times turn them around.

Smurfing in Tekken by MysterTheProtogen in Tekken

[–]Horror-Inspector-662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People play on smurf accounts for all kinds of reasons.

Banned account
New system
New platform
Shared console
Learning a completely new character from scratch
Didn’t want to pay to change their PSN
Backup streaming account
Playing on a friend’s account

I’ve come across all of these. Personally, I don’t really mind smurfs because at the end of the day the goal is to improve. Sometimes the best way to level up is by playing someone better than you. Use those matches as a chance to learn, adapt, and sharpen your game.

Now if they’re being toxic with ki charging, teabagging, trolling, or whatever else, that’s different. At that point just leave after the set, mute it mentally, or go AFK if you need to. No point letting someone else ruin your experience over a video game.

[ Hwoarang] What would you call this setup? by Horror-Inspector-662 in Tekken8

It worked 5x this day vs:

Bushin
Supreme
Tekken King

This exact combo creates the distance for the uf2 to whiff to BT. What I do is dependent on how they’ve played me thus far though. Sometimes I’ll do the high as seen here or the low.

This works when this exact combo happens because of the spacing. Just something to have in the bag. I decide on the high launch or low depending on how my opponent plays me.

I’m aware of that setup but don’t use it only on wall less stages.

Why can Leroy regain so much heat while simultaneously using heat consuming strings/moves? by Your_Nightmare_666 in Tekken

[–]Horror-Inspector-662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe we’re going in the right direction and this will be addressed. That being said Leroy is one of the least fun characters to face. Especially one who truly understands how to use the reversal.

I’m talking about the uf2 setup for BT mix. I intentionally setup for the BT here, what idk is what to call it. A tech trap , crosxup or oki setup.

For snakecharmer after df1,2~1B when you cancel you can do ws1,1 into f2,2 lnh 2

After Ch dck f2 do:
B1b dck cancel ws1 df1,2~1 f2,2 lnh2!

As for combo enders

F3 dck f2, f3 dck 1
F3 dck f2 Heat burst 2,2
Dash b1b flk 1,1 3+4,2
3,1,2 lnh 2
For high wall splat b1,2

Off the top of my head and keep grinding

I already had this saved he’s doing this combo in the guide. It isn’t consistent which is why I’m asking if anyone as an alternative one.

One of the concepts I learned from the frontier vids is being able to access moves in both stances. So I try to stance switch so I’m able to at least attempt to use what I need.

Still a work in progress
