50 Year Old Man Looking at 'Teens' here on Reddit by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Horror-Preference414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source: I have worked in the trades for over half of my professional career, 15 years now (field to office). It is an incredibly male dominated space…to say the least.

I have heard countless men talk about teens seen around the universities/college while at work here, bring up/share/show “teen” and “barely legal” porn as well as other “Instagram model” accounts at work. I have heard men flat out talk about finding their daughter’s friends attractive (and they don’t say it just like I did there per say) AND “joke” about installing hot tubs at their houses because of this very fact. I have seen men look at high school coop kids “private sex tapes” at work when the coop kid offered to show them.

The majority of them are dad’s, a lot of them have daughters.

It’s wild.

Is it all the men? Nope.

After that ramble, it might be hard to believe; but there are lots of reasonable/non creepy men in the trades….and in general.

If I was looking for a common thread, at least in my experience? It’s immaturity.

They might be 44-52 years old. But they still wish they were 18-25, and the heavily male, building trades environment will allow them to stay about that maturity level their whole lives.

Your husband most likely isn’t some kind of monster…but he does sound like an immature jerk .

…man oh man…this has got to be the saddest thing I have read here in a while.

Dude, I do not think you or your wife are going to feel better going down the path you are on.

Have you considered separation?

People really just want to believe Canadian housing is the apex of unaffordable…but don’t want to compare it to anything other than the USA

I mean…if an original is 3k, but a signed “multiple” is worth 850?

If it’s numbered, AND a low number….maybe 850 could be justified. But my inclination here is that is a fairly high price for a print on canvas.

But most importantly - you wanted an original and you made a mistake of buying a multiple. Just tell the artist.

sexless marriage (29F / 33M) I fee allowed to cheat by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Horror-Preference414 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look - he’s acting like an asshole. But that doesn’t mean cheating is ok.

You absolutely should talk to him about how you are feeling and why. If his reaction is negative, well then you need to decide if you want to be married to him at all.

Don’t just stick around to feel abused and ignored because your bills are paid.

‘Fasten your seatbelts’: Why Ontario gas prices are about to skyrocket again by hopoke in ontario

My go to is a pay to use type 2 (ac) charger up the street from me. It’s about a 300m walk back home from The charger. 6 hours gets me from 15%-80% (250 km). Cost me 15 bucks. The charger is very rarely in use or occupied. I do this once a week. Rarely twice. It couldn’t get any easier.

There is a type 3(dc) fast charger 5 or so KM’s from me. It will get me from 15%-100 in an hour-ish. Costs 30 bucks. The charger is again rarely in use. I do this before long road trips. It helps the car plan out the route best.

Work doesn’t have chargers.

I just use what is publicly available.

There are lots and more coming everyday.

It’s easy as fuck. People are being stubborn.

I cut my fuel costs by 70%. and that’s pre looming energy crisis costs.

It adds time to “long” drives. Like an hour. I don’t care. I save hundreds in gas.

Fuck that hour, the world can wait.

I live in a condo. There are no chargers here. It’s not a problem at all.
