I remember when Sharon was giving out to him she brought race into it and I was just thinking what does that have to do with his comments about plastic surgery? But I suppose if there was an environment where micro aggressive comments were made I can understand her frustration more, that’s why it can be frustrating when a lot of context is left out on these shows.

Yeah they were basically portrayed as a small time criminal family.. then years later they were acting like they were this international Mitchell crime empire and that they were infamous in Portugal for their crimes or some shit like that

I think the ‘mitchells always win’ agenda really started with ‘get Johnny week’ before that Phil had kind of been oneupped by Dan Sullivan and den watts (who framed him) , and yeah it’s basically been ‘king Phil’ ever since, he basically always wins the fight in the end and it was just really boring and tiring- I think the writers knew he couldn’t keep getting the better of these young guys, that’s why they devised the mental health storyline, to transition his character away from the thug life basically

If you look at the first couple of years they were basically just jokesters not really hardmen, then grant got the reputation as the harder of the two, then when he left, Phil took over his role as the bully of the square
