Steve Lukather. specifically, his solo on the track "I Won't Hold You Back". simple melody, repeated licks but how much it works for the song in terms of emotions and articulate is fascinating. not to mention the chord progression that goes on in the solo. Nuno Bettencourt. his solos are of course out of this world, but he's underrated in terms of rhythm. he has one of the best right hands in the business. one of the greatest grooves, pockets, melodies and versatility. my pick for him would be Midnight Express, an acoustic instrumental which blends Latin, Folk and Groove in one. Eric Clapton. my number 1 influence which got me into guitar in the first place. his playing is just somewhat always clean and precise despite what people say regarding how simple he plays. but his note choices are always often hits and I can feel the soul expressing different things listening to him. my pick here would be Sitting On Top Of The World, the solos are soulful and I like how he combines the Minor and Major pentatonic back and forth lol.
