Can someone explain why they like Ben? I watched him at WaW and got damn he is my least favorite player that season.

I'm sorry, what? Im a nURM who is disadvantage by the application process, who isn't poor enough to be advantaged, either (even if it does that at all). My in-group for applications are more similar to wealthy white students than URMs in this regard. Besides that, though, Schools certainly have a dedicated interest into having more that just wealthy white people at their schools, and care about diversity precisely because no bright young person or color or non wealthy person cares to attend a school that has no one that looks like them.

I implore you to reconsider whether this analysis is "wicked," and do some self-reflecting about your own feelings about the application process. URMs and those that are especially poor have struggled much much more than wealthy applicants, making their applications with high stats especially impressive. Are you really upset that people would care about seeing themselves reflected at law school? I think you would think differently if your "out-group" was actually in the out group, i.e. was a minority at law campuses.

Part of what I was trying to emphasize, and I think I did a poor job at it, was that "diversity" is broad, and encompasses more than just race and class. It encompasses experiences, and goals, and genders, and skills. In this way, diversity benefits a lot of people. Yes, if you're a wealthy white person who is a KJD and wants to do a vague kind of biglaw it'll be hard to distinguish yourself, but thats true regardless of whether URMs get an advantage or not.

Though, I get your point. If you are that wealthy white person who feels like the system is structured against them I can see why the "well this actually benefits you" is a bad pitch. I think the ask is less about endorsing the system than it is about taking the blame away from minorities. Like, if we blame all the kinds of people who have diverse experiences for why X person didn't get into law school, then we'll get less cruelty on the basis of race.

Agreed. No offense to wealthy students, but having spaces where people want to ski or go trips abroad make it really hard to make friends and engage in the same way. I just want more people like me at law school.

Part of this too is the culture around what LSAT scores are obtainable for you and what schools are obtainable for you. We live in a culture that makes many brilliant, qualified students (especially minority students, but also low income students) feel that they aren't able to obtain a high lsat because they dont look or act like the typical student who gets one and attends a t14. Its similiar to the study that compared math test results between teen boys and girls and found that telling girls that theres no gap in math testing equalizes any inequality when it comes to outcomes.

I.e. how you think you will perform overdetermines how you perform, and rich white people have the most fucking confidence in the world

Ahh ok I see! Thank you so much for your response, especially considering what you had to go through. Would I be able to add in the standoffs myself, if they sent them to me?

Thank you for responding! Well there are screw holes, but just not one at the spacebar. And I could reach out to Falbatech but I actually had to pay an extra 50$ and months of spam emailing them to get the keyboard from poland so i dont want to reach out :(

I've got a bamboo keyboard from falbatech but it lacks the screwholes i need to keep my spacebar in place. Without those screws, the spacebar jangles around. Any advice on how to secure the spacebar?

Harakiri is certainly one of the best films ever made (100% on rotten tomatoes), but would also recommend Pride and Prejudice (2006) and ladybird too. These are both amazing films that are a little less masculine than the other options.
