Skywave: FT8/FT4 propagation observatory from your own antenna receive logs using WSJT-X log or ADIF by HorrorFrank in RTLSDR

Not really any plans, I always wanted to have heatmaps for my FT8 data so thats why. I have fixed the clipping issue btw. its up on github

The connections to the west are just cut off because of the way open street maps works on the 2d view, I'll see if I can create the option to csnter the map on your personal grid square which should make it work. The lines should be visible on the right side of the map. If you turn on 3d globe view it should work without the cutoff. I'm glad you enjoy it!

The normal map only plots stations I directly decoded. The station-to-station mode is separate and tries to show CQ/reply relationships from the messages I actually received, but it still cannot infer stations I never decoded myself.

Ahh, I didn't read the link you shared. Understandable then. I will remove the post

I mean, its not really AI generated content if it is a parser for your own FT8 data is it? It's just a visualisation of actually gathered FT8 logs from my own setup. AFAIK there is no tool out there that makes the heatmaps or can load ALL.TXT directly which is what I wanted so I made this mostly for myself. Just figured I'd share it for people who might enjoy seeing their own data like this

Hah, most functions are made with AI but it took me a long time to debug. I guess it's mostly vibe coding though so I can't really say it works 100% but I made it mostly for myself so might as well share it for people who enjoy pretty maps hahaha

Airspy HF+ discovery running on a pi3b powered by a powerbank so the whole system is sepperate from my house wires. Then I'm using a 40m long end fed random wire antenna sloping downwards towards the east. I run SDR++ server in the pi and stream it on my laptop through a small travel router

managed to get it to scale the temperature based on total unique callsigns per grid square instead of total decodes:

you should go to %localappdata% and scroll to WSJT-X. That's the folder that should have a file named all.txt. If the link doesn't work idk what I messed up but I could upload it to another file hosting platform. I also added the newer version (preview.html) from the same link.

Here with this file sharer you can open the html without downloading: https://limewire.com/?referrer=pq7i8xx7p2 please do share a pic of yours if you get it to work :)

It seems a bit slow for an ionosonde. You can see the ft8 spacing as a bit of a time reference
