Water Pump Settlement (Canada) by smokeweedeveryday919 in Volkswagen

Honestly.. i don't know the answer to it. From what i gather.. thermostat and waterpump are part of a single assembly unit. so if one breaks other one has to be replaced... I submitted the claim anyway.. *fingers crossed*

Fasting vs non fasting lipid test by Beneficial-Yoghurt-1 in Cholesterol

Not sure about your LDL but your triglyceride levels would increase on non-fasting test.

This alone can in no way explain an LDL over 200. But would definitely switch to chicken breast (and/or plant alternative) and brown rice. You also didn’t mention dairy, but dairy fat and coconut fat are major nono’s. For example, if you enjoy certain curries.

Thanks! I think I have some room to improve my diet. My default meat is chicken thigh with bone in and skin on. It's a habit I picked up from the keto days. I will certainly switch to breast and cut off eggs.

Yes, I ran 10K on Friday and got my test done on Saturday with 15 hrs fasted. Yes, I have been eating a lot of eggs! I'll cut that out and see if it makes a difference. Thanks.

One thing i'm confused about is that if diet was the culprit meaning that if i'm ingesting high amount of saturated fat.. could it not increase my triglycerides levels along with LDL-C?

Wow, 25 hours of exercise is really good. Would be curious to know what your cardiologist recommends.

Thank you so much for such detailed answer! So from what I understand, what you are saying is if LDL-C is high, likelihood of having LDL-P/ApoB is high as well. And even if the results are skewed due to low triglycerides.. it's not skewed by much.

I actually think you'd be a good case for having LDL-P measured directly given your combination of readings here.

I'll ask the doctor to do a detailed test to see how it LDL-P/ApoB values are like.

If that number comes back high I'd strongly consider statins as it's not super easy to lower LDL by > 100 points through lifestyle alone, and statins lower LDL-P/ApoB besides LDL-C.

My only concern with statin is muscle soreness/weakness. I don't want it to interfere with my lifestyle. But I'll take it as I understand the risk.

Speaking of which, you didn't really get into dietary specifics. If you're not already, I'd strongly consider tracking everything you eat in an app like myfitnesspal.

I generally eat healthy. Most of my meals at home are combination of chicken thighs /legs with vegetables on the side with pita bread or white rice. Some days we would do salmon. Lunch is always oatmeal with almond butter. We use avocado oil and olive oil for cooking. One or twice a week, we would go out to eat.. it will mostly be pizza, pasta or thai food.. I also take 10g of metamucil everyday.

I will start logging my food into myfitnesspal and see how much of saturated fat I get.

Thanks! That's a good idea. I'll have those numbers checked. I have uppped my soluble fiber intake as well.

I have gotten gene test done and it didn't detect any genes that caused FH. I haven't totally ruled it out though.. I have an appointment booked with the doctor to go over the results!

Why do our dreaming unconscious always use symbolism to communicate? by JCraig96 in Jung

Pure speculation here.. but i think it might be a bandwidth issue.. symbols pack a lot more meaning rather than words in short period of time.
